Leave a bone for Brittany RIP 12/6/09

Britty, Baby Girl, BritBrit, Silly Girl and Goofy Girl.

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:
-purebred-dog rescue

June 24th 1996

Sleeping and eating and getting her ears rubbed.

She does not like to be bothered when she is napping, thunderstorms, when the electricity goes out.

Favorite Toy:
Britty has never really played with toys, she just loves to have attention paid to her.

Favorite Food:
scrambled eggs when Dad fixes them, marrow bones, coconut cream pie, anything you are eating and cheese.

Favorite Walk:
She use to go to the pond with her brother Buckshot everyday, but he has been having trouble getting around and getting in and out of the truck.

Best Tricks:
Her best trick is to get her to pee or poo you have to sing to her, then she goes

Arrival Story:
Britty was a pound pup. My daughter saw her in the newspaper. It was "Please Mom" "Please". She and my husband went to the animal shelter to look at her. She immediately came to my husband when let out of the kennel. She had been badly mistreated, she had worms, heartworms and sores all over her body. We took her to our vet, got her cleaned up, meds for the sores and wormed. It took 2 extensive treatments for the heartworms. We could not have her fixed until there was no sign of heartworms. We were afraid that Buckshot would not share his Mom & Dad with Brittany. It was amazing, the first day she came home he just took to her like she had always been there. He did and still does get a little jealous when Brittany is getting Mom's attention.

Britty is very timid and backwards, probably from the way she was treated before she came to us. She is a avid barker, she is constantly alerting her adopted brother Buckshot of everything and most times nothing. She is very loving and affectionate towards Mom and Dad. Her feelings are easily hurt, but she is forgiving.

Our beloved Britty passed away on 12/6/09. Very hard day for her Mom and Dad. There is a big hole in our hearts. Britty had been sick for awhile but was not in pain. Little sister Carolina misses her so.
Britty had been in our lives for 13 1/2 years. Her Dad tried so hard to make everything as easy for her as possible. There will always be wonderful memories of Britty. Her personality was one in a million.
We were very lucky to have had her and Buckshot in our lives.
Forever in our hearts they will be.

It is getting a little easier for each day to pass. I'm just not use to be ing alone during the day, while Mom and Dad work. Buckshot was always with me.
Now when they get ready for work, I get a real worried look and follow them around the house. I am overjoyed when they get home.
We got an email from a new friend, Sasha. She is a Dal too. She said some really thoughtful things and made me feel better. I hope Mom and I continue to email Sasha. She has a big family. Right now it is just Me, Mom and Dad.
Buckshot always ran the show. He had a bold personality and everyone loved him. He just didn't like anyone loving on Mom.
It is pretty today and Mom and I have been outside most the morning.
I love the outside, I watch birds, cats and Ben (Lab) our next door neighbor.

I will be back to write more, I promise.

Mom's trying to be very brave for me. She and Daddy miss Buckshot so much.
I miss him bad............ He was my best friend for 11 years. I knew he wasn't
feeling well lately and I did not bug him. When I was younger I would agravate him when he was trying to sleep. We got along SWELL from day one,
When Mommy and daddy brought me home to meet Buckshot. My human-sister, Andrea saw me in the paper for adoption. So I can thank her for becoming part of the family and being loved so much by so many people.
Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents. they all loved me immediately
as I did them.

Mom stayed at home today just to help me write in my Dogster Diary.
She is a GREAT Mom!!!!!

Buckshot will always be part of the family and never be forgotten.

Oh, I miss my Bubba.
