Meat -- cooked or raw, sardines, cheese
Any place without bicycles or motorcycles
Sit, Wait, Down, Speak, Stay, go to mat, super cute head tilt, acrobatics
Eve was being walked down the shelter hall to be put down when she was snatched by a shelter worker and then taken into New Rattitude foster homes. Being misunderstood because of her underbite and "growly talk" almost cost Evie her life. She needs a forever someone to love her for who she is.
Evie is a solid 13 lbs. and over 12 inches at the shoulder. She is a delightfully quirky girl who will adapt her energy to yours. She loves to romp and play with another dog and would do best with one or two canine companions. She also loves lap time and snuggling. She likes to keep track of the household activities and is quite curious. Eve will tolerate some crate time during the day, but will do better sleeping with you or near you at night, as she is quite anxious about being locked up. She is a perfect sleeping partner, however, and politely waits for you to decide when it's time to get up. She can jump very high. That combined with her sincere love of all things food does tend to lead her onto countertops. She's learning boundaries in her foster home and will probably need to learn new ones in your home. She's a talker. When you tell her about your day, she'll gladly tell you all about hers. She's an excellent human face reader so don't even think about smiling when she gripes. Wait to laugh until after she's done what you told her to. Evie has the feistiness and the heart-melting sweetness that together make the best Rat Terriers.

I have hypothyroidism and have been on pills for it for over six months. Well, it works! I gotta say, it's pretty great to feel good, look good and plaaaaay rowdy! Momma says that my before was running my mouth and my after is running my legs, too. I was always a good climber and a weight lifter, but now I climb and throw my huge, solid Nylabone around every day. It's fun being more active and having good moods! I'm also quite lean and beautiful. It's not bragging if it's true.

I didn't have to go very far to get to my forever home from my foster home. The minute my foster mom was allowed to adopt me, she did! It was a long, strange trip to get here, but it sure was a short trip to stay here. Obviously, I have infinite charm.
So here's the deal. Now that I'm not in danger of being too attractive to potential adopters (Momma says my dance card was blank, but I don't believe that!), I can tell my funny stories and show more cute pictures. We were being kinda quiet about me, real hush hush, so's no one caught on how really stupendous I am. It was cramping my style.
I'm quite the raconteur, you know. Mom says that's French for "I talk a lot." But I gots so much to say! I keep'em glued to their doggie beds with my tales of life on the street and narrow escapes. My calling is to be an advice columnist because I know so much. No, I'm not kidding, I do know lots! I been around and I'm a survivor. I could tell you all about it if you have some fresh roast chicken to keep my throat moist. And maybe you could throw in a bit of chicken liver. With gravy on top. You do have dessert, right?

Hi, my name's Evie. My foster mom is finally letting me up in the chair to type my first entry. She's been waiting for me to stop drooling after I caught that toad. She keeps asking me why we dogs ever go after a second toad, especially us smart dogs. Um... it's fun?
I'm a girl who knows how to have fun, but in an adult kinda way. I'm mature enough to quickly grasp the household rules and I'm not interested in dumb puppy stuff like chewing and acting wild. I know who fills my food dish, if you know what I'm sayin'.
I've been passed around some and spent some time on the streets, so it sure would be nice to have a forever home with a family who's really mine. My foster mom says I'm a one-of-a-kind dog and that my forever person is gonna adore me because they won't be able to help it.
