Arrival Story:
I was desperatly searching for a komondor, but kept coming up short. One of the breeders I talked to said that they had seen an ad in a dog mag for kom pups. Well, I went looking and to my luck they had a couple of females left. She was four months old. I couldn't wait for her to arrive. She was put on a flight out of Saskatchewan for Victoria. There was a delay due to bad weather so she never made her connection out of Calgary. When Mochi finally made it to Victoria she had been in her crate for over 12 hours. When we opened the crate she looked at us with so much attitude. She was covered in her own bodily waste but she was still in command of herself. It took her a few months to accept us. The day she did I knew. Her attitude shifted to one of love and caring versus on gaurd and wary.

Bio:
Mochi unfortunately proved what a bad breeder could do. She has a problem with her heart and food allergies galore. We decided that we would just love her and care for her and let her live her life as a pampered princess and let her cross the rainbow bridge when her genetic flaws catch up with her. She also let us know as only animals can that she was beaten. Instead of being a healthy purebred she turned into a genetic experiment gone wrong. To top it off the breeder never came through with her paper work.

As Mochi's Mommy I am sad to say that my little girl's genetic flaws finally caught up with her. We had to put Mochi to sleep on March 31/05. We are all heartbroken. I am so lost without my large white guardian. She loved me and I loved her. There will never be a dog like her come my way again. She gave me so much. As a woman I was free to roam the world because I knew I was safe because of my Mochi-Girl.
To the breeders who don't care let me tell you the heartache you cause. Breed dogs cause you love the breed not because it is a money machine. Don't put other people in the position to have to put to sleep a cherished friend when time has been so short together. Think before you do of the emotional cost on your spirit and on others.

I can't believe my Mom went and did it again. She brought home a new dog. You would think I was enough. I mean really I am a princess. All fall down and worship me. I have to admit my new brother is already in love with me. Who wouldn't love me? He's been here 1 week and already he bows to my supremacy. this is a good thing otherwise I would have to straighten things out for him. I guess I can deal with another brother. I do have to put up with Ronin already so why not one more. The new guy seems to really need my Mom's love right now so I will share . FOR NOW. Then I get first dibs on lovings. after all I am a princess. Talk to you later diary.
