Arrival Story:
Went to a rescue place looking for a German Shepard that was up for adoption, but the GSD had been adopted the day before by someone. Right when I was about to leave I noticed Mikey sitting up as tall as he could, watching us intently as we walked about and he was one of only a few dogs not barking. I asked what his story was, thinking that no way such a beautiful dog was without a home. I was told he was up for adoption and I asked to see him. When he came out of his run I was taken aback by his size and quickly said no, I didn't want such a big dog. Well, we sat down, with Mikey in tow and right as my rear end hit the chair, Mikey climbed into my lap, trying his best to get all the way up. That was it for me. I knew I would be taking this guy home. That was a year ago and I couldn't imagine my life without him now. I feel so lucky to have found him.
