Arrival Story:
Our family dog had to be put down in October of this year due to ever-increasing aggression issues. We decided we wanted a breed that wasn't aggressive and my husband had always loved the way bassets looked, so we started researching them. We fell in love with the breed and it seemed perfect for us...a big dog on short legs, laid back and goofy. The only problem was that we like to save a life when it comes to dogs instead of buying from a breeder, so we were fortunate enough to find Looziana Basset Rescue. We got a puppy, but she is already housebroken, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is the best Christmas present ever of 2004!

Bio:
Came from Looziana Basset Rescue. Prior to becoming a rescue dog she had been in 4 different homes in her first 6 months of life. She stayed with a wonderful foster family who have 5 bassets of their own and 1 other foster basset. It was there she learned to love and trust and work out some minor food aggression issues.
