indoors Arrival Story: I adopted Pigeon on October 17th, 2008. It was his 2nd time being adopted, he was a surrendered Kitty. The 1st woman returned Pigeon, as she lived in a Condo and a neighbor complained of Pigeons LOUD purr ,that sounds like a LOUD pigeon! The neighbor thought the constant LOUD purring was a cell phone ? I'm not sure if this was just an excuse or not? I have to admit it though.. I had to sleep with a pillow over my head for a few nights , until I got used to his LOUD purr! LOL What made me fall in love with Pigeon was that unique LOUD purr and his sweet ,attention seeking personality ! You would Fall in Love with him too! :)

Bio: Pigeon along with 95 other neglected, sick cats/kittens were Luckily rescued from a house in deplorable condition! I was told the owner meant well in the beginning however , it obviously got way out of control and turned into a severe case of Animal Abuse/Hoarding!
When I adopted Pigeon he was diagnosed with Respiratory Disease,
Rhinotracheitis (or Herpes 1 ) he had contacted from his past living conditions. I was informed also, at the time alot of his symptoms were stress related. He was on antibiotics, L Lysine , ointment for his ears and a spray for his itching when I adopted him. He had a runny nose and eyes, coughed, sneezed, had spasms, scratched , and accessively licked and pulled out his fur from stress. He had patches of fur missing and tiny skin bumps over his body. I felt so bad for him! I really didn't think he'd ever get adopted again, if I did not take him! The nice woman who fostered Pigeon for about a year and many other cats/ kittens for Feline Friends , really grew attached to his sweet disposition, also. When he was finally ready for me to adopt , I wasn't quite sure if she really wanted to let him go! LOL I was told he was about 1 and 1/2 years old however, we're still unsure of his exact age , he is his missing upper and lower incisors, his teeth are yellowish and he has a baggy belly. My Vet informed me ,she had never heard a purr like his before... so far, Nobody has!

Update ::
I recently took Pigeon to one of our States Best Animal Hospitals, Angell Memorial to see a small tissue Specialist for a 3rd and the last opinion on his soft cleft palet diagnosis. As usual, Pigeon charmed them in the office with his Sweet personality and Unique Purr( These Specialists had never heard a Purr like Pigeon's neither.)! The Good News is....he does Not have a soft cleft palet ! The Bad News is.... I he will Always have to live with my Respiratory Disease,Rhinotracheitis (or Herpes 1 )symptoms. There isn't anything to do to cure it . I just has to get him on antibiotics if he get's an infection.

Hi Furiends! Just wanted to let you know I've missed you all while I've been away! :( Mom has been through some trauma recently and has also been very busy working , helping to care fur our human Grand daughter daily ( and weekends too) and just trying to keep it together! I miss Catster , our Group , Kewlest Catster Kitties (Thanx to All the Admins./members fur keeping our Group going strong!) , the Admins./ my furiends & members , the other Groups and of course All of you/my furiends! Thannx to those who have sent caring Pawmail & Gifts/Cakes w/nice messages! I truly Appreciate it! I'm hoping I'll be back active again but until then keep on having Fun in Catsterland!
