Bio: UPDATE: Ginny is gaining weight in her foster home. Except for being too interested in cats, she is an amazing little girl who enjoys her walks and does not pull on the leash. Her foster dad says she is one of the smartest dogs he has met.
Oh my gosh! Ginny is such a pretty, petite girl! She is so sweet and gentle and also well behaved. but SO painfully skinny. However, we want a home for her where she will be cared for but not babied because of her condition.
Although she is a bit older...perhaps 7 yr. old (?), she is resilient and probably has many good years left in her. I have had GSPs live to be 17.
We do not know her history, but at some point she had a home where they trained her. We are hoping that someone out there will provide her with another loving forever home.
Ginny was not given a name at the shelter because it was expected she would be euthanized. How would you like to take part in a contest to name her? She is a lovely chocolate (liver) colour and has a gentle dispostion. She is not demanding and walks nicely on the leash so would be great for an older person.
Please check adoption procedures on the Home Page if you are interested in providing a home for her..
