Bio: This little TEDDY BEAR is so adorable and low maintenance! He is fluffy, cute and cuddly. He is no trouble at all so we do not know why his owner gave him up except he needs a home with no steep stairs. He would love the attention and care of a human friend. His foster mom would keep him except she has other special needs dogs and feels he deserves the attention of a parent just for him. He is very loyal and follows his foster mom everywhere, although lately he has found a sunny spot to sleep in at the side of her house.
Noah would do very well with an older couple or person who wants a fireside pal and quiet daily walks…or perhaps a home with only older children.
He has been very polite around other dogs, including labs, a beagle and a humping Sheltie. When he got tired of the Sheltie's importunate attentions, he gave a little warning nip at him, The Sheltie understood immediately but young children might not, hence no young children.
Noah has been temperament tested with a Husky, lab mix, pointers, spaniel, and Weimaraner mix - he passed with flying colors. (although he could have lived without the humping Sheltie). He has no food or toy aggression and likes his crate.
He rides beautifully in the back seat of a car. If he knows that is his place, he doesn't try and jump in the front like most dogs. He's a great little passenger.
Noah has a clean bill of health; he is heartworm negative and has been dewormed. He has had all his shots. He has a very soft mouth and he can be touched anywhere.
Noah is a bit hard of hearing (not bad because one can still attract his attention) and might have the beginning of a cataract The very worst thing you can say about him is that he barks like a Heeler when he's excited, although his foster parents says he seldom barks. . He will stop doing whatever it is that you want him to stop for, when you tell him to "leave it". .
We’ve guessed Noah to be about 9 yrs old but he’s a FANTASTIC dog! It breaks our hearts that his owners did not want to keep him. Noah is a member of our "Seniors for Seniors" Program.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS LOVING DOG IS STILL AVAILABLE! is what everyone says.
If you live in a ground floor condo or townhouse, and would like to help a homeless dog, Noah is the dog for you!
