Arrival Story: My mother in law adopted Grace from our local pound. She had two smaller dogs at home and when she brought Grace in, it was obvious that there were problems to come. Grace is a dominant dog and likes to run the show. And try to eat any other dog who might attempt to stand in her way. After trying profusely for months to get the dogs to live peacefully, she called us and asked if we would take her in. On her own, Grace is an amazing, perfect dog. We agreed and Grace became part of our family. I often think about how lucky it was that everything happened the way it did. If I had gone on my own to the pound, I probably would not have chosen Grace. She is old and not much to look at. When she 1st came home from the pound she was skittish and timid. She has seizures and is mostly blind. Just NOT what I would have chosen! But she is mild and loyal. She loves to cuddle and she smiles when you scratch her ears. She always seems so grateful for attention and just KNOWS when I'm having a bad day and I need extra love. She's the best dog I've ever had. If anyone is considering adoption, please consider an older dog. They are so worth it!
