Birthday: July 3rd 2002 Likes: Chasing Squirrels!!!! Lying smack up next to the wood stove!! Pet-Peeves: Not getting to play enough outside, having to take a bath, tussling with those fluffy cats with a white stripe down their back Favorite Toy: A basketball punctured by doggy teeth (makes it easier to pick up) Favorite Food: Anything he finds himself outdoors, but frozen donuts are the best! Favorite Walk: All hiking trails in northern New England Best Tricks: Conning people out of food, playing soccer Arrival Story: We were on our way to see some pups when we stopped at the pound on the way. Most of the dogs were barking their heads off or trying to climb over the chicken wire. This little guy was calm as could be at 4 mos. I knelt down to get a close look. When I stood up to leave, he started whining. The little stinker has been doing this to me ever since. Bio: He came to us from Murphy, NC. He was listed as a Lab / Chow mix. No way!! Forget the spots on the underside of his tongue! He will swim only if he HAS to (or if it is 90 F outside, then he will swim for 45 seconds), and he HATES the cold!
Zircon is a Certified Therapy Dog, and visits an Adult Day Care center once a month. He is probably the only dog who knows the command "Go say 'hi'". This is very helpful when people who can barely move want to pet him...he goes to them! Forums Motto: Where's that squirrel?!? The Groups I'm In: The Dogs of Dogforum.net!, The Dogs of Dogforum.org! I've Been On Dogster Since:
Rule #2: You are supposed to kick or throw the ball for me to chase
Rule #3: As soon as you bend down to get the ball I will pounce on it and run away with it.
Rule #4: If you try to kick it, I will stick my head in to get it at the last minute, Don't worry about kicking me by mistake, I will sacrifice everything for the ball!
Rule #5: You may have a ball too, but it is not as "good" as MY ball, so I will not chase it when you kick or throw it.
Rule #6: I am allowed to decide at any time that your ball is the "good" ball and that you should not have it any more.
Rule #7: I am allowed to decide at any time that your ball is no longer the "good" ball so I will not have to chase it.
