 Quick Bio:
 Likes: someone petting him

Pet-Peeves: he hates to go outside when it's cold!!!

Favorite Toy: anything his sister (Marina) is playing with

Favorite Food: good old dog food

Favorite Walk: anywhere as long as I am with him

Best Tricks: silently disappearring right before he needs to go outside (in the cold!)

Arrival Story: Oliver spent his entire life in a no kill shelter. I got him when he was 5 years old. I spotted him on the Internet and something about him touched me. When I went to meet him he was very shy at first. He finally came up to me and then wouldn't leave my side. The woman at the shelter said many people had come to see him, but he would hide behind furniture. I was the first person he actually came up to. I knew then that not only had I picked him, but he picked me!

Bio: Being adopted has been quite an experience for Oliver (and me). I didn't realize that the mere sights and sounds of the tv would be stressful to him, but he had never been a pet. This was a new world for him. Housebreaking was very difficult. He was used to going in his crate at the shelter, so crate training was out. He wouldn't go on a leash either. So for 5 months I had to drive about 20 minutes from my apartment to a safe fenced in area. The tv, microwave, phone, computer, everything was a new experience. The first time I turned the tv on he about jumped out of his skin and tried to run away from me. Thankfully I had a leash on him. We've come a long way and although he can still be a bit skittish (hence the nickname Skittles) he is an incredibly loyal and loveable dog. I'm blessed to have him in my life.

Christmas is such a great time. And I got the best present of all. Marina is back!!!! RUFF RUFF RUFF!!! I'm so happy now. She just wasn't cut out to be a service dog. Thank god for that, so now she is back w/ me and mom. But mom keeps telling me there might be a new addition to the family. I think she is going to get another puppy to train from CCI sometime in the spring. That's fine as long as the puppy stays out of my way!

Where's the baby girl?? I can't find her anywhere!! I'm pacing the house all the time looking for my favorite doggie friend. I know she went to CCI, but I thought she'd be back by now. Don't want to eat, don't want to sleep and don't want to go outside without her!!
