Arrival Story:
This is our adorable puppy Lilly! We adopted Lilly on May 22, 2009 from the Sterling Animal Shelter in MA. She is a sato and was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. Her mother was abandoned by her owner when she was pregnant. A police woman found Lilly's mom and her new born litter in an abandoned warehouse but unfortunately one of the puppies had not survived. This kind woman brought Lilly and her mother and brother to the Save a Sato shelter where they were given food and water and lots of love and attention. When they were old enough they were flown to Boston and then delivered to the Sterling Animal Shelter for adoption. I saw Lilly's picture on line & got up early the next day to make sure I was at the Shelter when they opened.I have wanted a dog for a very long time and once we saw Lilly we knew we found our puppy! She was not the least bit timed and curled up in my lap and gave me lots of kisses! It was very obvious that the Save a Sato people took very good care of her. We are not sure what breed mix she is, but she sure is cute! Our vet thinks she has some Shiba Inu in her. I am a first time dog owner and I could not ask for a better puppy! I'm trying not to spoil her but I can't help myself-i love her so much. She is truly a blessing for our family and we are very lucky to have found her!
