Happy Holidays Boxer and Boxer mix lovers! I know it's a little over a month before Christmas, but I had the best dream last night! If you look at my pictures you will see where my foster mom took a picture of me dreaming (see where I had my foster mom type my dream out for me below) and I woke up and told my foster mom we had to decorate the house for Christmas today! So we both decorated all day! We got the tree up with the lights, but the ornaments won't go on the tree until this weekend. I also dressed up like an elf while I was helping my foster mom, and thought it would really put everyone in the Christmas spirit...and it did! I desperately want my own family for Christmas! I love toys, dog beds, tennis balls and treats! I am great with kids and walk wonderfully on a leash. I am a great great boy and I have been patiently waiting for my family for a year and a half now! Please consider me as your Christmas present this year! I promise I don't take up that much room and I will even help you take down your Christmas Tree!
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring...well except Ben and a lone mouse!
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Ben's forever family would soon be there.
The boxers and Ben were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of milk bones danced in their heads.
And foster mama in her kerchief and Mikie in his cap,
Had just settled their brains for a long winters nap.
When out in the yard arose such a clatter,
Ben sprang from his crate to see what was the matter.
Away to the window Ben flew like a flash,
Tore open the curtains and curiously barked at the crash.
The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid day to chew toys below.
What, when to Ben's wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature pincher, and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
Ben knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled and shouted and called all the doggies by name!
"Now Ben! Now Miley, Now Toby and Burt!
On, Bella, On Carly, on Hana and Squirt!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the Wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!
Ben could not believe his eyes, it was St Nick with HIS big Christmas Surprise.
A family of his own and could it be true?
A huge bag of milk bones to share with you!

Well, here I am again. Its November 2009 and I am sitting here at my foster
moms house and thought I would write everyone a quick update to let you know
how i am doing and give you some basic facts about me in case you have
missed anything interesting i have posted along the way.
My name is Benjamin or as I like to call myself "Ben" for short. I am a
boxer mix. I have natural ears and a natural tail and I am flashy fawn. I am
about 5 years old. When I first came to BRBR i was only 31 lbs! I have since
gained 25 lbs and I am in good shape at about 56lbs! I am very stocky too.
My favorite things in life are 1. Tennis balls (who could resist right?) 2.
Walks, it is so great to get out there and explore my neighborhood and 3.
snuggling with someone on the couch. Over the last year in my foster home I
have really learned a lot. When I came here i wasn't too sure of the other
dogs and preferred to be by myself, now...I get along just great with them.
I would still prefer to be an only dog if thats okay with you. I love to
wrestle with the little one here named Miley...shes crazy! I am still picky
about the dogs I meet out in public but my foster mom just reassures me and
redirects my attention to something else and I am good to go! I absolutely
love to ride in the car. I will ride in the backseat if you like but boy I
love the front seat. I sit up straight, look at the windshield and tell my
foster mom where to take me. Sometimes I will even wear my baseball cap to
block the sun. I have to be honest, i don't care for it but i keep it on to
keep my foster mom happy and...the other drivers in the cars we pass just
laugh and laugh at me. I don't mind giving everyone a good laugh now and
again.
Well, that's all for now. I see a tennis ball I need to tend to. Talk to you
later!
Love, BEN

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me...happy birthday dear ben c...hapy birthday to me!
Well my foster mom and i decided since it is my one year anniversary in the rescue we could celebrate it as my birthday. I just got done having some nice bday treats and i am currently running around the house (my foster mom calls me a wild man). I am sure you are wondering how i can be typing and running at the same time. Well, my foster mom is typing as i yell at her what to say from the other room. no time to stop and type when there are extremely important things like tennis balls and nyla bones in the house! I was hoping for my bday wish i would have a forever family. that wish hasn't come true yet but hey... a boy can dream right?
4-1-09 Hey folks, its me. B.C. aka Benjamin Crafton.
I am having a great spring. I have been having so much fun playing outside with my brothers and sisters at my foster home and I have really been enjoying the few sunny days we have had here in the south. My foster mom tells me that April showers bring may flowers. Well, i am ready for those flowers b/c i love to go outside and play...rain rain go away! I can't personally type my updates to you b/c i dont have thumbs so i am sitting here at my foster moms feet under the computer desk as she types and I bark to her what i am wanting you guys to know.
Here are a few things I would love in my forever home:
1. An endless supply of tennis balls
2. A big fenced yard that i can run and dig in
3. someone who loves to go on walks, i am the BEST boy on walks (this is what my foster mom says). I dont even pull on the leash!
4. A warm bed to sleep in at night. I will sleep in my crate at night if i have to but boy there is nothing better then a doggie bed or a queen sized bed to sleep with YOU in!
Well, i have to run. It is time to go outside and look for cats and squirrels. I hope to meet YOU soon!
love, B.C.
2-13-09 ***A NOTE FROM BENJAMINE ALAN CRAFTON***
First, welcome everyone to my petfinder page. If you are looking on here then you have to be slightly interested in my story and how I cam to be where I am now. I was a 'stray' for a very long time and ate dirt and rocks to survive. Once I got to my foster home, it has been all great from there. I have learned to love and trust and enjoy life. My favorite thing in the world is tennis balls, my mom has a tupperware container full of them that she pulls new ones out of every few days just so I have a fresh one to play with. I get along great with the dogs in my house right now but it takes me a while to figure out I don't have to be the boss. I love to bark (no apt life for me), I love going on walks, and I adore digging in my backyard (my foster mom is working on this).

I love going on walks and I am great on a leash, I walk right beside you and NEVER pull. Please consider me as your new family member!
10-24-08 Happy Howl-O-Ween.
Hey everyone, ben crafton here. I thought I would share my howl-o-ween costume with you.
I had so much fun dressing up and I tell you, i really enjoyed it. i am a clown at heart. I love to
play and goof off. My foster mom said I did really good with 'costume' time.
I am still getting my heartworms treated and will be done in early december, just in time for christmas pictures
i know you are excited! Seriously though, i am already planning on asking Santa if he will please send me
a FUREVER family for christmas, is that you?
8-5-08 Hey guys, its me...Ben.
I wanted to write and tell you how great I am doing. I am living the high life in my foster home right now. I have as many soft squeeky toys (aka my babies) that i can play with. I dont even chew them up, i just throw them around the room and love on them. I still love my tennis balls and will chew chew chew and then destroy! It is great fun! I will start my heartworm treatment in about 2 weeks, I am not too happy about that b/c that means 'quiet time' for me but hey, whatever my foster mom says, I say sounds good.
I am enjoying playing with the puppy in the house, we wrestle and play keep away. I am doing great with other 'boys' in the house too....We tolerate each other. My foster mom wants me to remind you. No kitties for me...They are just too irresistable! Ayyways, i am really ready to have my own family who will give me as many squeeky tennis balls and soft squeeky babies as they can afford.
6-5-08 hello world...remember me??? Ben Crafton. Well that wasn't my name when i was on the streets in the big city but that is my new alias. I am now in the witness protection program... I was picked up by animal control while running in the big city and they took me in. I was questions, had my mugg shot taken (I know i looked ruff) and then i was put in the back of an SUV and rushed to a vet where I was taken care of. Now i am living in the lap of luxury, a crate to myself, air conditioning and as many squeeky balls as this boy can handle! I love squeeky balls, my foster mom has tried to give me other boys, but i have no love or desire for anything but the ball! I know how to 'fetch' as my foster mom calls it but i call it being 'smart.' getting my 'mom' to throw the ball and again and again...what kind of fool is she? I have her wrapped around my little paw. Right now i am still scoping the place out, i wag my tail at the other dogs in the house but when my foster mom walks up i get real excited around them, i am just trying to show her how tough i am. I have no idea why she wont let me chase the cats. that was a game i played on the street, chase that cat, youc catch it, you got
ten points. 'mom' says that is a big no no in her house so she says I need to be honest and say no cats for me...
I am really looking fwd to my forever family, I am great with kids. there was a little toddler here. she was great.
she was really sticky and i had a great time licking her and i waiting patiently as i taught her to play 'fetch'
and even let her take the ball out of my mouth...anyways,
looking fwd to hearing from you!
