Crash is a wonderful, sweetheart of a dog. He’s 3 yrs old and good with cats and kids. He loves to be loved and will return it unconditionally. He loves people and greatly appreciates walks or trips to a dog park. Exercise is tons of fun for him, but a lazy day on his dog bed is great, too. Crash goes with the flow!
Brains? Yep. Maybe that’s why he has such a big, handsome head! He’s a smart one and very food motivated, which makes training and tricks even easier combined with his naturally easy-going personality. He responds well to correction and follows it up with a pouty face. As exciting as meal time is, he learned to sit and wait patiently for his food in just two days! He does think with his stomach sometimes and will follow his nose to any morsel left out of place, but dogs will be dogs!
There are few things he enjoys more than a good belly rub, and misses no opportunity to show you his belly just so you don’t forget. Crash is always happy to thank you with dog kisses for taking the time!
5/28/09 - What's up everyone? I've been really busy learning new things so it's been too long since I last checked in. I am house-trained, crate-trained and have learned to sit, shake, lie down, give five and give ten. My foster mom says I'm really smart and I just get more handsome everyday. My scars have healed very well - two big dogs attacked me and hurt me really bad. But, that is in the past and the people at BRBR saved me. I have been eating much better so I have more energy and love to run and play in the yard, plus my hair is getting more healthy and shiny now. Speaking of food, I never got fed regularly in my former life (I still can't believe I get two meals a day) so I like to have breakfast and dinner in my room (crate) - I'm just afraid it might disappear if I don't eat it really fast. I'm also a real ladies man (that is what mom calls me) because I really like hanging out with the girls - I guess those boys are just a threat to my masculinity! I'm a huge sweetheart - all I want in life is to have my very own family to hug me and rub my ears and belly. I promise to be a good boy - I would love to sit beside you on the couch and snuggle. I would even sleep with you if you want (I will stay on top of the covers and promise to not be a bed-hog). Having a snuggle bug is really good when it's cold - I can keep your feet warm all night! :-) I get really excited when I play so you need to make sure you are with any little people (age 5 & under) so I don't knock them down when I play. I'm just so excited to have this new life that I don't know what to do with myself. If you are looking for a best friend and someone who will be forever loyal, look no further because you have just 'Crash'ed into your dream dog! If you would like to meet me and make me part of your family, please have your people call my people and we'll do lunch (fill out an application). Luv, Crash (a/k/a 'Crashmeister' or 'Grand Master Crash').
3/10/09 - Hi, everyone. I just wanted to check in and tell you how much fun I had meeting new people and dogs at the Adopt-A-Thon at Pura Vida in Charlotte last weekend. I'm such a sweet boy and I'm really laid back - all I need is some love and attention. I like to play in our fenced yard with my fur brothers and sisters - I even got to play in the snow recently! But I am selective with my friends, you know that you have to be careful who you choose as friends, you gotta make sure that they are the real thing. :-) Mom took me to the vet yesterday because I had a cough and cried really loud when I was playing tug 'o war with my fur brother. I got some medicine that will make my cough better and found out that I have a fractured tooth that will need to be pulled (that is why tug 'o war hurt my tooth). Mom also gave me a bath in some oatmeal shampoo and used a special brush called the Furminator on me - that felt soooo good. She says I get more handsome everyday. Talk to you soon, Crash
3/1/09 - Hi, everyone! I wanted to check in and let you all know how much better I'm feeling. I have a nice warm bed to sleep in (mom says I snore sometimes - haha), toys galore and a fur brother and sister to play with. I was neutered last Thursday and my wounds from the dog attack and healing well. Mom says that I'm a real HUNK (whatever that means)! I'm really sweet and do well in the house (I haven't had ANY accidents). I do not care for my bedroom (I think it's a crate and mom is just trying to trick me) and I get a little protective over my food - mom says that it was because I probably had to do that to survive but I will never have to do that again. We are working on improving that! Well, gotta run play in the snow! Talk to ya soon!
2-23-09 Hi Crash here. BRBR named me this b/c they thought i had been hit by a car when a good citizen found me. You see, my owner left the state and left me to run free around my neighborhood. well, i finally fessed up and told BRBR that i hadn't been hit by a car but that some stray dogs got me. I obviously didn't fight back b/c they got me good. I have a cut on my face and one on my front leg. I am such a good boy and only want love and attention. I am so thankful for BRBR saving me b/c my last home told the great lady that saved me to just SHOOT ME b/c he didn't want to deal with it. Please look deep into your heart and see if you have a place in there for me. I promise I will be a great boy. I am also in need of a foster home so if you want to foster me, i would love that too. more to come and i will have a photoshoot with some better pics once i start feeling better!
