I'm mad at Mom

Today we had a foot of snow which is not a very common occurance around here. Maybe 3 or 4 inches or even 6 but not 12 inches at one time. I was so happy to get to play outside. I ran outside without realizing how much snow we had gotten. After I made it across the driveway which was plowed I jumped into the yard and disappeared. I realized pretty quickly I wanted out of there but our neighbor had plowed our driveway and there were big mounds that I was struggling to make it over. Mom just kept laughing and said I have to go get the camera. Meanwhile there I am struggling with snow all over my face. By the time she made it back out I had gotten up and said no way am I going in there again. For the rest of the afternoon I have stayed either where it was shoveled or plowed. I can't believe Mom just laughed at me!

My First Weekend in my new home

What an exciting weekend. First of all I was adopted just this Friday from the local shelter. Actually I already knew my new Mom to be but I hadn't seen her for a year. There was no doubt that I remembered her right away when I first saw her again. After the papers were signed, the shelter packed a bag of food and goodies to go home with me. Then they searched till they found the perfect bandana to put around my neck for my big day. Instead of going to my new home right away I went to my humangrandmom's house where I meet my new brother and was reaquainted with my new sister. I had met her before many years ago. Mom took me for a walk with Yogi first and by the end he was giving me kisses. Then she walked me with Cookie and she remembered me right away, but she wasn't scared of me like before. I can tell she did a lot of socializing since we last met. We had dinner and later Grandpop took me for a walk so we could bond. Later I got to see my new home for the first time. I was a little nervous and I had such a busy day I had gotton my shots at the shelter so they made me very tired. Mom put my bed next to hers and showed it to me and said it was mine and I slept there all night.
Saturday some more human family members came to visit me and were very happy I was so comfortable in my new house and with my new pack. Later in the afternoon I met 2 more dogs that come to visit with the neighbor often. Mom walked me all around the yard.
Today I went to a park to take a walk with Mom, Grandmom and Grandpop, Cookie, Yogi, My Aunt and Uncle and their 4 Aussies. You should hve seen everyone looking at the 7 of us dogs in our pack. After the walk Mom tried to take me to Petco to have my picture taken but they were too backed up and we didn't have time to wait. We had to get going because we had a cook-out to go to at the Aussie cousins house. We had burgers on the grill. I seem to get along with all other dogs and people I meet. I have to go I am so sleepy now.
