Fixed...but I wasn't broken!

Yes, you read correctly...the humans "fixed" me two weeks ago. I don't understand! All I remember is going in the car and being walked into an office while it was drizzling water outside. There were two other dogs, a little white one that kept growling, and a huge dog with its tongue hanging out. I was scared, but Granddad kept a firm hold on me. Then they swept me away into a room, I couldn't even lick my humans goodbye. I don't remember anything after that...I think I fell asleep. The humans picked me up a long time after, I woke up very thirsty with a tube in my paw. The V-E-T said it was so I didn't get too thirsty in the room while they were "fixing" me. Then they put this STUPID collar around my neck that spreads out so I couldn't do anything! I was so embarrassed. I had to wear it for a neck so I wouldn't "hurt myself", then the V-E-T took it off for me a week later. RUFF!! So now I'm fixed...I still enjoy a good hump of my bed every now and then when the humans aren't looking. What? I'm a dog!!

So I don't understand why the humans thought I was broken...oh well. Maybe it's a human thing, and a dog like me wouldn't understand. I found a yummy bone on my walk today, but mum said it was from the neighbor's garbage and it wasn't for puppies! ::Sigh:: All the good stuff isn't for puppies! Although I did try some turkey today off of Granddad's dinner was soooooo good! I weigh 14 pounds now, mum says I'd better not turn into a "tubby puppy!" I don't know what this means, but I shall try not to be too "tubby" in future.

::scratches collar::

Sorry. Anyway, in an effort to socialize me, the humans are taking me to "the gardens" next weekend. I must say I'm a bit frightened when we go in that thing with the wheels, but I like sitting on the floor so I can get a nice breeze from the "air conditioner" thing mum puts on. Plus it's getting cooler now so my coat doesn't make me as hot anymore! I suppose I can attempt to socialize, but I really don't feel like dealing with other dogs sniffing me. Perhaps if it's a Cavalier I will change my mind! It's an experiment mum is trying.

I will update more when my trip is over! If I don't get eaten by a big dog first...ARRRFF! ::whimpers:: Good luck to me!

I enjoy fall...

Hello everyone!

Today was a lazy Tuesday. I'm actually in bed early right now, so mummy is taking over this entry for me. I woke up around 7 AM like I usually do, took a lovely poo in the front yard and walked around with grand-dad for awhile. I saw the scary Black Lab who lives across the street, and the little Shitzu who also lives there. They have such lovely grass! I enjoy rolling in it and picking up sticks in their yard.

The other day mummy was lecturing me about smoking. I don't know what this is, but she says it's a filthy habit. I try to tell her that something can't be bad for you if it's left in the street for dogs to eat it, but she wouldn't listen. It's a white stick with a brown tip that has dirt or something coming out of it. What's so wrong with eating a white stick?! Either way, I will try to resist them, as it upsets the humans so.

I had a lovely evening with the family, although I did really want to chew on the recliners. It seems I am quite the powerful chewer, and I go through lots of plush chew toys! I'm sad my favorite monkey was taken away, I enjoyed biting his ears off. I gave mummy a tongue bath on the couch, and stayed up for almost 4 hours! That's a long time for me at night, so that's why I went to bed early tonight. I'm a tired pup! I laid on the couch with grand-mum chewing a Kong stuffed with carrots. Carrots are soooo good!

::scratches and gives head tilt::

The humans think this is adorable. Why I don't know, I am simply responding to their questions...I guess it's part of the undeniable beauty we Cavaliers have!

Mummy was talking about dog parks today. I must admit I am a bit scared, since I'm shy around other dogs. It's not a snob thing, but I'm really fine just interacting with my humans. However, they want me to meet other puppies, so after I'm "fixed", (what does this mean??) they plan on taking me to the dog park. I will try and behave! It will help if chicken is involved.

I bid you adieu for this evening,

Ruff!! Greetings!

Hello everyone!

This is my first diary humans say I'm old enough to write one now! I am 5 months old, and loving it.

I've had a bit of stomach trouble the past few weeks, so granddad fed me some yummy chicken and rice! I like it better than my kibble. They also put some wet food in my bowl, which I was hesitant to eat at first. However, the humans say it is good for me, so I gave in.

Sorry! Had an itch...anyway, I had a vet trip the other day with mommy and grand-dad. There were a few other white dogs there, so I was a little scared, but I was in grand-dad's lap, so that was good. The vet took my temperature, I squirmed a bit, then I got a shot for my tummy troubles. Not the best experience! I much prefer the groomer, who trims my spaniel ears and brushes my fur and uses this yummy smelling stuff on it. I am also teething, which isn't the most enjoyable. My humans found a puppy fang on the did that get there?!

I am now waiting for mommy to come down and walk me so I can pick up a juicy big stick! The yard next door has some lovely sticks that I've come to claim as my own. Sorry neighbor dogs! This Prince rules all.
