Maddie was a late Christmas present.

Bio:
Maddie is a purebred Cocker Spaniel and has an unusual coloration called Blue Roan Parti. This is quite rare. Madison (Maddie) was a late Christmas Gift my daughter received in January. She was born November 18th, 2008, so she is just 8 1/2 months old. Maddie is a bundle of energy and needs lots and lots of attention and discipline. My daughter is disabled and has severe back problems and is not able to deal with Maddie's boundless energy. She has asked me to find a loving home for Maddie as she cannot bear to do it herself. Maddie likes to race around, jump on anything she can reach and jump on her 'people' when they least expect it. She also tends to knock things over in her enthusiastic quest for undivided attention. She is very sweet and seems to love everyone. My daughter already had 2 older very calm and laid back dogs with special needs. If anyone tries to pay attention to them, Maddie jumps on them and demands the attention for herself. She definitely wants to be the alpha dog.. She needs constant supervision. Maddie is mostly housebroken, but she will use training pads if you put them down for her. Unfortunately, she sometimes gets bored and decides to shred the training pad to pieces. Madison is a purebred Cocker Spaniel and can be registered with the American Canine Association. Her papers are ready to be registered (the fee is $17). Her parents are listed on the documents. You can also order a 3, 4 or 5 generation Pedigree. There is an extra charge listed on the document for this. If a Pedigree is ordered in conjunction with the registration, it is heavily discounted. It is paramount that Maddie be adopted by someone who has the time (and stamina) to train her properly. It is just as important that she be the ONLY dog, at least until she is trained and knows where she stands in the hierarchy of the household. We are in New York State, so please keep that in mind when considering giving Maddie a loving home.
