Arrival Story: I grew up with lots of family pets, but since I had moved out of the house at 18 years old I'd never had a dog of my own...mostly because I've rented property for most of those years and landlords never wanted dogs. In 2006, however, I asked my current landlord if he would allow me to adopt a dog and he very kindly granted me permission. I heard about this great family farm in Lancaster, Wisconsin, where they raise a lot of mixed breed dogs and I went there in December of 2006 and adopted Maisie.
