Arrival Story: We wanted a female dog that would stay small and would not shed. Through internet searches, we found Classypups.com and found out that they had a new litter of Maltipoo pups that were born on Nov. 17, 2004. We called the breeder and ended up putting a deposit down on a puppy that very day.
Classypups is located in Mobile, Alabama....so the puppy would need to be shipped to us. We would have to wait until she was 10 weeks old...a very long wait, but well worth it! The breeder took Sophie from Alabama to New Orleans to be shipped by a friend and fellow breeder. Sophie arrived in Chicago via Continental Airlines on January 25, 2004. We couldn't have asked for a better puppy! She's a cute little girl who constantly makes us laugh!

Wowzers!! It's be a LONG time since mom let me on the computer!! She has bunches of pictures that she could add, but tonight there was only time for one....a Christmas picture.....doesn't she know CHRISTMAS IS OVER!!! Duh!
Anyway, yep...the Christmas pic is me with the fat man in the red suit....MY DAD...Santa... No, I'm not nutso...it REALLY is my Dad!! He *helps* Santa by checking up on the good (and sometimes bad) boys & girls in our area. And, boy-o-boy, you should hear some of the stories my Daddy tells!!! Hahahaha!!! Like the one about the little girl that kept screaming, "I hate you Santa!" WHAT?!?!?!? SHE'S NUTSO!! But, for the most part...it was a GREAT year!
I really am happy to live in Illinois with my mommy & daddy. They are great! They take good care of me and buy me lots of cool toys. But the best toys will always be the shoes and socks I sneak off with!! Hahahaha!!! We had a great year in 2005....I turned one, I learned to slow down when eating ice cream, Dad learned where the doggy park is at, Mom took my swimming with her in my granny's big, new swimming pool...and I even made a couple of friends too! Yep, 2005 was a good year...minus my accident...and the stomach flu....going to the vet wasn't ALL bad!
I guess I should get going....although I have a ton of things to say. Mom says I can write more often this year....she better be telling the truth!! After all, Dad's always watching...oops, I mean Santa's always watching!!!!

Whew....it's been a LONG time since I last barkedatcha!!! I've been busy, busy, busy.
It's finally warm here in IL, and Mom & Dad let me out to play almost every day now. I LOVE IT!!! And sometimes I even sneak out when the door is open a for just a second...they think I won't get out, but I always do! As a matter of fact, I did that just this afternoon when Mom got home from work. She went out on the front porch to get the paper and the door didn't shut right away, so out I ran....all around the yard....and Mom couldn't catch me!! Ha ha ha!! But, then I ran across the street....boy was Mom mad at me! I guess I'm not supposed to go in the street without my Mom or Dad. Go figure....all the fun things are the things that I can't do!
Dad worked late today, but when he came home he had an ice cream for all 3 of us!!! It was the first time that I'd ever had ice cream, boy is it cold!! I was freezing!! Mom & Dad were laughing because my whole body was shaking! But, I still wouldn't stop eating it....that stuff is good!! And who knows when I'll get more....so I had to eat it all, even if I was freezing!!!!
Well, it's late and Mom's ready for bed.....
I promise I'll try to write more often.
Love to all my pups!!

Well....let me start by saying.....it was fun....while it lasted. Mom was doing bookkeeping and Dad was taking a nap, and I found some paper napkins that fell off of the coffee table in the family room. It was exciting, something new to chew on....then I discovered how much fun it could be when you shred the napkins!! I went to town...shredding and chewing and chasing!! There was paper napkin pieces everywhere!!! It looked like a party!!! I thought it was great!!
.........then Mom walked in the room.........
And that's when I learned, it's really NOT fun to make a mess in my Mom's house!!!! Boy, was she mad! Mad enough to wake up Dad. And I got yelled at!! NOT cool!!!!! So, I went to hide out in the computer room.....where I discovered even MORE paper that was hanging off the edge of a chair. So, I started chewing on that...and shredding it.... And, you guessed it.....I got in even MORE trouble!!!
At least I had fun.................. I mean, really...they need to be more careful if they don't want me chewing up their things. Huh....rrrrreeeeaaallllyyy.....I'm just a pup!
My punishment was staying home in my crate while Mom & Dad went to Mom's parents house out on the farm. Which is one of my favorite places to visit. Oh well....maybe next Sunday!
