Stanley gets annoyed when wild birds and animals - and local cats - are in 'his' back garden - he chases them away!
Favorite Toy:
He doesn't really have a favourite toy, but I think his toy dog 'Daniel the spaniel' and blankie get used most - and he does love to chew!
Favorite Food:
Stanley loves his dog biscuits & treats & has tried a little bit of most of what we eat - so far we haven't found a single thing he doesn't like, except fish roe! He does, in particular, like strawberries!
Favorite Walk:
He loves to walk around the block and in the woods and feels it is his duty to meet everyone who comes near him, whether they like it or not! He adores walkies, and his public adore him!
Best Tricks:
When Stanley graduated from his puppy training classes he successfully learned 'no', 'off', 'come', and 'sit' - nowadays he just chooses when to do what he's told, which isn't very often!
Arrival Story:
In May 2009 my beloved whippet Daisy died of renal failure. We soon decided to get a puppy, and in June became 'parents' to a male ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy named Rollo, who we adored. Sadly, Rollo's health was poor - he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (swelling of the brain) and died in his sleep before any treatment could be applied, aged just 10 weeks old.
Undeterred, we accepted the breeder's offer of another puppy, and that is how we got Stanley! He was 10 weeks old when we got him and boy, is he a little livewire! He settled in really well, became one of the family, loves to play with his toys and generally runs rings round us! This is one cheeky dog who definitely has us wrapped around his little paw!
Bio:
Stanley is currently on a weight-loss program from the vets', much to his disgust - he was always naturally big for his breed, but he is now about 3 kilograms overweight, which is terrible, and is all our fault for giving him so many treats. So, Stanley and I are now dieting together - and neither of us particularly likes it!
