Arrival Story: Daisy's owner was placed in a nursing home in Dec. 2008. She was loved so much by her owner that her family did not want to give her away. Occassionally, Daisy was still able to visit her in the nursing home, so friends and family took her on walks and fed her but she remained home alone. I found out about Daisy in Feburary 2009 through a mutual friend. I said if she needs a foster home to please let me know. I recieved a phone call on June 30 asking if I was still interested in "that 9 year old Boston". I had to wait 6 long days to meet Daisy. However, I already knew I was going to keep her because we had something in comman; Heartache and loss. She had lost her owner and I had lost my Jake.
When she walk through my door, I saw a sweet loving look in her eyes but also a look of lonliness and sadness. I understood that look and immedatley knew that I had to keep her. She needs me as much as I need her.
