Arrival Story:
We bought Dixie from a pet store, something we swore we would never do. We had stopped in to pick up some treats for our other dog and she was on the floor, all 2 pounds of her. My husband picked her up and never put her back down, she came home with us... She became ill the next day, the Vet thought she had Parvo. It turned out not to be that - thankfully. She spent a couple days on IV in the hospital and had to be fed replacement mother's milk as she was apparently younger than the 6 weeks the pet store said she was. We were so happy to have her come home and she has never disappointed us, she is our little inspiration, our bundle of joy.

Bio:
Dixie is a "working dog". Ever since she was little, she accompanied my husband to his work - he manages a True Value store in town. She greets customers and has her favorite repeat customers. Many people come in especially to see Dixie and are disappointed if she happens to be on her "day off" - meaning Mom is home and so is Dixie...
