Well this evening I decided I needed a mud mask, cause I found this little mud hole and I drug one of my ropey toys all in the mud. I then shook, shook and shook some more until my face was super covered with mud. My foster mom decided that was probably not the best look for me and chased after me with a wet towel..... boy was that fun.
My foster mom is taking me to petsmart tomorrow to meet people cause im really shy she is hoping lots of treats + lots of people will = a well adjusted me. I sometimes shake when new people come up and pet me but I never ever snap or act ugly in fact I normally lick them then try to turn away. She is also going to see about enrolling me in obedience class since I have never been taught how to walk on a leash or anything. She says I will get lots of treats just for trying stuff ..he he I love treats so I will try whatever she wants as long as I can get some cookies.
Well I'm off to go chew up a tennis ball ...smell ya later.

Likes other dogs but she is not sure how to act, she needs some socializing and she would be fine.
Good with older kids (she is a little on the jumpy side for very small children) but she really likes kids.
Would do best in a home with a fenced in yard or access to a fenced in yard.
Very Very Smart picks up things very quickly would do really well in an obeidence class.
Shy with new people but once she warms up she loves ya forever.
Crate trained (loves her crate)
Hey folks I'm Patches and I have been in a dog lot for the past two years. I used to be an inside dog but my family circumstances changed and I had to go outside. I like being outside but now that I'm in this new home I sure do love being with my new people. My favorite thing to do is sit on the couch next to my foster mom and chew on my nyla bone or tennis ball. I like to chase the tennis ball too. I'm learning the concept of fetch but I'm still a little confused about why when i bring it back my foster mom takes it out of my mouth and throws it again but I sure like chasing it. I LOVE toys I like to rip up the fuzzy ones and chew on the others. I didnt have a lot of toys in my pen so now that i have some of my very own I love to play with them. I like to toss them up in the air and catch them and shake them really really hard.
Patches is a great girl she needs some socializing and an a basic obeidence class. She is extremely smart and very eager to please. She wants to sit next to you but not really in your lap. That may come a little later but for right now she is just happy to be allowed on the couch next to you and contently chews on her toys. She is very shy about using the bathroom around new people but once she is comfortable around you she does very well. She is housetrained and crate trained and loves her crate she goes right in with no issue just make sure she has a Nyla bone in there to chew. She is very jumpy and kind of likes to jump all over you but we are working on that. I think she is just so excited to get any attention she goes a little overboard with the wanting to kiss you etc.
Patches is a chewer for this reason I would not leave her alone uncrated. She isnt destructive she just loves to chew. She will chew up paper in particular in a heartbeat if left to her own devices. But if you keep her crated and give her toys, tennis balls and Nylabones she is a happy camper. She loves to play tug of war with a ropey toy.
She gets very nervous and skittish around new people especially men. But if you give her a little time and don't force the issue she comes around like gang busters. Being that she has had very little human contact for the past two years she is having to relearn being social.
