Quick Bio:

Birthday:
March 1st 2009

Likes:
Splashing in her swimming pool full of ice water (ice cubes).

Pet-Peeves:
She wants to bring every stick in the yard into the house, and mom won't let her.

Favorite Toy:
Any kind of ball, especially the big ones.

Favorite Food:
Grass and sticks. Sigh... But she likes her training hot dogs, too.

Favorite Walk:
I have a wooded 1/4 acre back yard. She loves to run it.

Best Tricks:
In just a few weeks, she has learned sit, down, and crate up. She's brilliant.

Arrival Story:
I contacted German Shepherd Dog Rescue of Georgia. I'd owned a German Shepherd before, and he was the best dog I'd ever known. Over the years, I gravitated toward small dogs, eventually adopting three Wheaton Cairn Terriers. I lost one to old age 2 years ago. Then my youngest (he was only 6) died of cancer in January. I was bereft, and so was my remaining Cairn. I considered getting another Cairn, but I really wanted a Shepherd. I contacted GSDGA and became not only one of their adoptive mothers, but a volunteer as well. Now Chloe is their youngest ambassasor at our fund raising events.

Bio:
Chloe was 11 weeks when I got her. A car almost hit her. When the family stopped, they realized the wheels hadn't hit her, but she was terrified and wouldn't come out from under the car. The young son crawled under the car and got her out. She was terrified. I'm working hard to get her over her fear of cars. She can ride in one now (6 weeks later), but we still have a long way to go. I don't know who left Chloe on the side of the road, but she was and is exactly what my Cairn and I needed in our lives. She was smaller than 9 year old Fergus (Cairn) when I got her, so he wasn't intimidated. Now she's 7 inches taller than him and much heavier, but they have established enough mutual respect that they play together all the time.
