Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Birthday:
July 9th 2006

Likes:
treats, squirrels, bird watching, keeping his coat dope

Pet-Peeves:
when his masters don't let him attempt to catch said squirrel/bird, removal of eye boogers, people walking outside his window

Favorite Toy:
He had a hard-rubber (but not quite Kong-hard) toy 2 years ago that he annihilated in 2 weeks. He finds pieces of it that he has hidden SOMEWHERE about every 3 months. By pieces, I mean, pieces he should choke on, but doesn't dare eat. He is a flinger!

Favorite Food:
BANANAS - B A N A N A S! Seriously, I don't let him eat more than a bite, but he acts so bizarrely towards them. It's as though he MUST HAVE the nana. He's totally seduced by the nana. He rolls all AROUND it and then devours - it's better than tv.

Favorite Walk:
Around his hood.

Best Tricks:
He'll kennel if he sees both of us putting our shoes on. He'll lay down without a treat, but sitting is an issue. And he can outrun dogs taller than he is - he has super speed. My favorite part of his running are his leaps. They're impressive.

Arrival Story:
Buster chose us - isn't that how it always goes? We were going out to dinner & noticed something jump into the bushes by our apartment building. Honestly, I just saw its hind quarters & thought it was a cat. When we got back home, we opened the door to the vestibule of the apartments - and there was Buster. We're all about letting pets find us rather than the other way around. So, we just looked at each other. I greeted him, he let me pet him & then he turned & darted up the stairs. Our apartment was up there, so we followed, curiously. As we reached the top, there was B, just sitting in front of our door. Having used his sniffer for cute points, we just opened the door to see what he would do. He sauntered in. He had no collar or tags. I put an ad in the paper, I called the local shelter, I put fliers up around the neighborhood. We decided if no one talked to us in 30 days, then he was ours. If they did after that, they better have a seriously good excuse for not finding him after all of our efforts - like being in the hospital. He was entirely too sweet. Thus our journey began. He was already housetrained. He was fully grown & he was beautiful - still is. He's just wonderful.
