Arrival Story: Kammie was rescued from a risk shelter and she was very thin when she first came to us. She is currently in foster care and she is doing very well. This little girls has a really loud growl that will make you laugh. You would never believe it was coming from her. I added the bio her foster mom wrote.... hoping you will take her home! Bio: Hi Everyone,
Attached is a picture of our foster baby and she is looking for a forever home. After reading her bio and are interested in adopting her please let me know.
Name: Kamlyn (Kami for short; but you can change her name if you want)
Sex: Female (spayed)
Breed: Brindle Pit/lab mix (?)
Age: 4 months
Misc: She has been spayed, micro chipped and is learning basic commands.
Kamlyn came to live with us about 3 weeks ago and was very, very thin, timid and exhausted. I believe she came to the rescue shelter via animal control and was having trouble with her tummy. I think a lot of her tummy trouble was because she was so young, scared and just sad from being in a pen with other dogs rather than with her mom and other litter mates.
Over the time she has been with us she has become great friends with Magnus (1 yr. lab) and Peaches (1 yr. Golden Ret.) and eats like a champ without any tummy trouble! She is more lovable than you can imagine, gentle with the kids and is such a sweet heart, she has not exhibited any aggression toward anyone at all, she just wants to be loved.
She doesn't bark much, in fact she is so quiet we often don't know she is right behind us. She is working on potty training, and is good about making it outside most of the time (remember she is still a baby), she loves, loves, loves going on walks and is getting better on a leash.
Her favorite place to be is with people, she sleeps on my daughter's bed (Ella 4) when we read stories at night and she snuggles with Liam (my son 7) while he plays on the floor with his Legos. She usually doesn't stay on her dog bed for long and ends up sleeping with Eric and I because she likes to snuggle with Eric. She also enjoys wrestling with Magnus and Peaches and chases them around the yard. She does have a very loud, gremlin sounding growl when she plays or wrestles so don't let that bother you, it is just her voice.
I could go on for pages about what a wonderful dog she is and will continue to be with the right loving family; she is definitely a great family dog.
Please don't be misled by her breed mix, Pit Bulls are wonderful, kind, loyal dogs. Please visit www.dogbreedinfo.com or www.pitbullsontheweb.com to read up on the breed. I've Been On Dogster Since:
