Arrival Story:
I actually went to the humane society because I saw a husky posted on their website and I was searching for one. Only when we got to the shelter, the husky was already called for. :( (But I'm happy he found a home!) My sister and I took a walk around to look at the other dogs since we were there anyway. Rui was so cute, we took him out for about 15 minutes and fell in love with him. Unfortunately, the shelter was closing and they also have a policy that all family members and pets have to be there to be considered for adoption. It took us 3 whole days to convince my mom that he was just right, and to get everyone there. Those 3 days were the most nerve-wrecking 3 days I've ever spent! XD I count my blessings that he was still there when we went back. We adopted him that day.
Bio:
Rui is such a nice dog, I'm not sure why he was given up to the shelter; he has no behavioral problems at all that I've found. He was 1 yr and 6 months when we got him, so I gues that makes him going on 3 now!

So, the rescue people emailed my ma about another border collie that was coming to the rescue place! My ma is really excited, but. . . I'm still a bit nervous.
But tomorrow's the big day!
This time it's a boy border collie, and he's red. My ma is always looking at black and white ones, plus she was always hoping for a female, cuz she thinks we'll get along better (and there's mostly boys in our house already!). So I can tell she's not really sure about this match, but she still wants to see this one and let the pup's temperament tell us if he's right for us.
We'll be meeting him tomorrow at 1:30pm. I'll let you all know how it turns out!

I shoulda updated this sooner!
The adoption didn't work out. My family was third to see her, and cuz she was beautiful and lookin' great (~_^) One of the first two fams took her home.
Working with rescues is kinda heartbreaking sometimes. Instead of strolling in thinkin' about the great good you're about to bring into a pup's life, instead our humans end up having to elbow each other outta the way like the Scrooges and Grinches of a Christmas Eve!
Do you guys get my reference? BOL!!
OR OR maybe, how about this one? - like 4am on Black Friday!
That's a GREAT one right?? (the things humans do for electronics!)

ONE DAY!!!
Our dog will come. Till then, I'll keep on herding this roost alone!

So my mama LOVES border collies. Sometimes I watch her looking up border collies, then I take a nap, eat dinner, and when I come back, she's STILL looking up border collies.
When will the madness end?! BOL!
Well, yesterday she showed me a picture of this beautiful girl bc. She told me her name was Mia and she wants me to go see her this weekend.
Could this mean I might have a new sister?
I don't even know what that would be like!
I guess I'll have to wait until this weekend to see. I wonder if my husky brudder and me would like her. . .?
