Arrival Story:
Leia began as our 13th foster dog. It was a trying start with lots of anxiety, pacing, and building trust. She paced so much that she wore a track path in the yard. Over the course of six months she opened up, began to trust, & even let the scary big man "poppa" touch her. Long story short after repeated storms being held in poppa's arms and her past she is now ours. No one could quite understand her and the thought of her being adopted only to bounce back for a third time was heart wrenching. Her new poppa said it best, she must stay with us now. She is home.

Bio:
An alumni of MSIR- Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue (shibarescue.org) along with her two brothers Oscar (2003) & Louie (2003).
