Mom took the Schnauzers to be groomed. I stayed at home with Dad.
When Mom got home, we both went outside. She grabbed the Chuck-It and lobbed it once in the yard. But when the Schnauzers are gone, we go out into our small acreage to play. That way, no one barks at us and out there only the cats bother us.
So we headed out the gate! I went into the garage to grab several mouthfuls of cat food. I kept grabbing mouthfuls while Mom called to me first to "come" then to "leave it". Finally, I did come.
We went back in the yard without playing Chuck-It.

Mom told me I blew it.

I would say getting cat food to eat is a win, win situation! I love to play with my Chuck-It, but sometimes I am more interested in eating deer poop instead!

Thanks Pups! The cat food was worth it, I just should have waited until we were done playing with the Chuck-It.
I wonder if I will do things differently next time?
