Quick Bio:

Allie is definitely a water dog! If it's wet, she's there! She loves being wrestled and trying to fit her fat butt on peoples' laps.

Allie hates being brushed and groomed. She also hates to see her family leave for the day.

Favorite Toy:
Despite having toys, she loves playing with her aluminum food dishes the most because they make so much noise.

Favorite Food:
Favorite treats are Roverolis and the durable chew treats that are SUPPOSED to last at least an hour (yeah right!). She also loves sneaking used tea bags out of the garbage!

Favorite Walk:
Allie loves walking to the creek with us, or even going to the lake she was dumped off at.

Best Tricks:
Allie can sit, speak, and shake so far!

Arrival Story:
As many times as I've wanted to, I've never picked up a dumped, stray dog. But the moment we drove by the Australian Shepherd that had been abandoned down by the lake near our home, something told me I had to go back and get it. So that's what I did. It was so matted I couldn't even tell what gender it was. I had to hire a professional groomer to come to my home and straight shave the poor thing because there was no undoing the three inches of matting that was clumped all over its body. Only after we filled a ten gallon garbage bag with a neglected, knotted coat did we discover that she was a girl. We went for days without a name until my boyfriend dreamed of she should be called "Alice". "Alice" soon became "Allie", and she is now a permanent member of our family. While I don't believe any pet should just be dumped, I'm glad she was or she would have never been a part of our lives!

Allie suffered a prolapsed uterus before her spay date and had to be rushed in for emergency surgery. It was there that our vet said she was a very interesting looking dog, and that she very well may have wolf in her bloodlines. Allie has the biggest sense of humor I've ever seen in a dog. She does things intentionally to make us laugh, and she is so jealous of me around my boyfriend that she will wiggle her huge butt in between us and kick me out of the way! We haven't been able to come up with a name for her color. It seems to change often. When we first got her, she was nearly a blue merle, and then she went through a red phase. Now she seems to have a little of everything! She has shades of blue, red, buff, black, gray, white, and brown all over her.
