The Diary Of A Foster Boxer

7-22-08 Hi everybody!
Miss Bea here! My real name is Beatrice but my foster Mom started calling me Miss Bea out of respect for my age which the Vet says is between
8 and 10. I know my face is gray and I'm missing my little front teeth but I can go for a brisk four mile walk everyday and lately I've been feeling so good I do the Boxer leap in the air for joy. I like to play with people and other dogs after I get to know them. Mom thinks I probably had some pretty bad experiences with other dogs when I was a stray. Now I get to go to Beginner Obedience every Monday night and it's really fun! It also gets me away from my foster sister so I can have Mom all to my self for a little while. I like to give kisses and nip noses to be funny! I sleep in bed with Mom and Freckles at night and we watch TV on the couch most of the day while Mom works. I have very good manners and never make a mess in the house.
Psst! Freckles steals Mom's shoes. When I get adopted I hope it's with a person or people who will enjoy my laid back personality. I love to travel in the car it's an adveture. I hope I get adopted soon so Mom can move in a new foster cause were so short on foster homes. Yes, I think an active retird couple would be perfect for me and me for them. I've got a lot of love and life left in me!!! I'm definately a different girl than the one Amy rescued a few months ago. Any added comments from the peanut gallery will be welcome. After all I don't want to sound all full of myself.
Come on send in an application and ask for me 'Miss Bea'.

3-31-08 Hi Everybody! Miss Bea here! (Beatrice) When the rescue people saved me from being PTS at the so-called shelter I was really, really skinny and so weak I had trouble standing, I was filthy and stinky and couldn't remember my last meal but I still had my Boxer spark and smiled at everybody. I've put on a LOT of weight and I'm getting plenty of excercise to turn it into muscle My foster Mom says I'm the sweetest most gentle creature she's ever seen. We live in a condo now and i don't mind not having a yard cuase I never get left out alone. I love leash walking and I like to just amble along and enjoy the scenery, I never pull. Helping Mom drive in the front seat is my favorite thing. If you are traveling in an RV I'm your perfect friend! I like all other dogs. I never have accidents I don't bark to go out just stand and stare at you. I do bark when someone comes to the door but that's all. I'm learning to trust enough to snuggle in bed now and I love to give kisses. The Vet says my teeth look like I'm about 8 but the white on my face makes me look a lot older. I think it was the stress of being homeless!
3-10-08 One day I ended up in this weird place, it was cold, and hard, lots of other dogs there, very scary!! Not real sure why I ended up there. I'm a good old gal. I am about 8-10, honestly I can't remember, ya know memory goes with age. I am a loving girl and get along with just about anyone, even those hairy thing......um cats I think they are called. Well its time for my afternoon nap, on this warm bed in the sunshine.... gotta go! Hope to meet you soon.
