Likes:
Charcoal loves working for treats, sleeping at the foot of a bed, waiting outside the bathroom door for someone in the shower, being told to listen for something, and going for walks.

Pet-Peeves:
Charcoal dislikes unfamiliar cats, having a voice raised at him, the word "out", and dogs who disrespect his authority.

Favorite Toy:
He loves tennis balls!

Favorite Food:
Chark loves tomatoes, senior treats, cheese, salt and vinegar chips.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere!

Best Tricks:
Sit, speak, roll over, beg, sic 'em, listen, and fetch.

Arrival Story:
We picked Charcoal out of a litter that my cousin's dog had. I don't believe there's a purebred dog in his lineage. His mother looked like a cocker spaniel mix, but we also believe he may have beagle and possibly chow in him as well. He has always been a timid dog who only opens up to the immediate family and his best doggy friend, Princess. He also suffers from skin allergies which he takes meds for every day. I consider this dog my non-human brother.

Bio:
Charcoal passed away July 17th, 2009 at age thirteen. He was a good dog, but an even better friend. My -best- friend. My whole family is grieving heavily, and I am not able to talk much about the event at the moment, so when the time is right, I will make appropriate updates and write up a tribute to him. We miss you, Chark, but we still feel you around. Please keep it that way because we can't live without your presence in our lives. I hope you know how much you were loved in life, and I hope you know that you are loved just as much even in death. Sweet dreams, my precious prince. I'll see you again someday. Play hard in heaven, but when it's my time, please be waiting for me at the doors to Heaven as you did so loyally at the bathroom door when I showered. I love you.
