Play in the rain and play with her sister Ember and her humans

Don't touch the tail (unless you're Ember, then it's ok)

Favorite Toy:
Yeah.... Rainy doesn't do toys Unless they belong to her sister, then she like to play hide & seek with them)

Favorite Food:
Anything from the good food that all dogs love, to rocks or the side of our garage. :)

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere with her humans except the vet

Best Tricks:
She barks @ air or invisible ppl & animals. Is that a trick? Oh and one time she killed and ate a bird... Is that a trick ?

Arrival Story:
Rainy was a shelter dog who was dropped off on the side of the road with another litter of puppies when she was just 3-4 weeks old. We brought her home when she was six weeks old. On the day we went to get her from the shelter it was storming raining (like monsoon weather). So there I was with this new little, no- name puppy siting on my lap, watching my husband try to navigate the flooded New Orleans streets, and it came to me "Rainy" we should name her Rainy. And so it goes. My Rainy bear. The lab who is afraid of water and won't retrieve ;)

She still wants to be a lap dog, but that's just not gonna happen. Rainy is a very sweet dog. She is well socialized, patient, tolerant, protective, and forgiving. Traits that I think more humans should embody. She does have her little quirks, but we all do. Her tail doesn't work. It never has. It was damaged before we got her. Her ears aren't quite right and she barks at everything. But she is perfect for us, and we wouldn't trade her for the world.

Forums Motto:
Labs that don't retrieve ;)

Loss of Rainy:
We lost our Rainy bear on October 19, 2011. Our family is heartbroken. She always loved to put those front two paws on my lap and just sit in my face, so I taught her to lay her head down and give "Rainy Hugs". I miss my Rainy hugs. Her death was sudden and unexpected. She was a healthy dog and there is no reason she should not still be here with us. She was playing with her sister and then she was just gone. After surviving so much to just go so quickly. I am still in shock. You are Loved and Missed my sweet Rainy bear.
