Hello, my name is Barnabas & I’m brand new to BRBR. In fact, I just
got to my foster mom’s house this afternoon so she doesn’t really know
a whole lot about me. It doesn’t take a genius, though, to see what a
good looking guy I am so I won’t bother to tell you. I’m getting along
with the cats although I would like to play with & chase them but they
don’t seem all that receptive to the idea :-( I know “sit” & “down”
already but that’s as far as we’ve gotten in trying to figure out what
all I know. I’m already what they call housebroken, she’s fairly
certain; at least I haven’t had any accidents in the house & haven’t
attempted to mark anything since I got here (she seems really happy
about this for some reason). I listen to correction very well; we’re
doing a lot of that right now until I get the hang of being in this
new household. I enjoy playing with toys & can keep myself occupied
but LOVE to have attention & can do a pretty good job of demanding it
when I want to :-) Mom has discovered I’m a little skittish with loud
or sudden noises & I don’t like loud thunder, although once I figure
out what it is I’m pretty much okay with it. We’ll be starting my
heartworm treatment sometime soon they say & then I won’t be able to
play; whatever am I going to do then? So far I think I like the cat
toys the best here but “mom” keeps telling me I can’t “eat/chew” them-
oh phewy!!! At first “mom” thought she was going to have to teach me
how to walk on a leash but I surprised her & showed her I already
know, it’s just when I’m super-excited & just get started that I
wanted to take her arm off (I was just playing with her). I did try to
take something off the kitchen counter so she called me a
countersurfer, whatever that is, & said we’ll be working on that &
I’ve tried to investigate the trash can a couple of times so she says
we’re going to be working on that too. Oh boy, it sounds like she’s
going to have me doing a whole lot of work; I hope it’s not too much;
she needs to remember “it’s a dog’s life”!!!! I’ll be checking in
again later on to let you know how things are going here & how I’m
doing on my treatment. Until then, ta.
