So I went on my first walk today, and we walked to the park. It was my first walk on a lead, I am kind of afraid of the lead but we have been working on that. I have not been on walks, I know that is hard to believe since I am 6 months old. It all goes back to my bad knees, I started having problems around 3 1/2-4 months old, so the rescue that I was at brought me to the vet where they discovered I had luxating petallas in both knees. I had surgery at around 5 months old, so you see I have not had a chance to go on a lead. I will tell you I had a great time, there were parts that were scary I will not lie, but it was all worth it. My momma and daddy are so proud of me for being a big girl and walking with all the pups, some parts scared me all the cars that drove by at first kind of made me nervous. I got over that real quick though, I got to smell all these weird smells and saw my sissy Delia act like a puppy. I did not know she acted that way, but when she goes on walks, man she is like a pup again. It was pretty cool, I overcame my fear of the lead :) So pups if you are afraid of something with a little work you can overcome it. I've got to go now, my momma is going to give us our cookies before bed.
Well tomorrow it will be my first week wif my family. When I first came into my home I was a little scared, meeting three new dogs. I was kind of an independent girl, but now I follow everyone and want to know what everyone is doing. I love all my toys, and I love all the bones, MMmmmm. My momma is pretty protective of me right now and is like a mother hen, because of my surgery. So it is kind of frustrating when your a puppy and you want to play all the time. Soon my mommy tells me I can play, and she said I will be able to meet my extended family, I hear there are six more for me to play with. Well anyway I am going to sign off, my daddy is waving a toy in front of my face, time to play.
