Arrival Story:
Alice is a very sweet 8 month old, 25 lb shepherd mix - we think she may also have some hound or maybe terrier in her as well. Alice wiil probably be not much more than 30 lbs when she is full grown. Alice and Alba have made great progress in their foster home in Northern VA. Alice has turned from a scared dog into a happy, friendly pup. She has learned to walk nicely on a leash tho her walk is still more of a hop. She is housetrained now too and she is crate trained. Alice and her sister Alba are in a foster home in Northern VA. They came froim a rural VA high kill shelter. These two sisters were obviously on their own for some time before animal control picked them up and brought them to the sheter. They both had a very bad case of mange, which itches like mad. Poor puppies! The good news is that they have been treated and their beautiful coats are growing back and they becoming gorgeous dogs.
