Nuffin' Goin On Here....

I am beggin' my momma for some puter time tonight. She said she has WOTS of homework, so I told her I would make it quick. I HAD to go visit my fwiends for a few minutes and pway some games...cuz I weally fink they missed me! Poor Zoe even sent me a wetter cuz she wuz wowwied 'bout me! When I told momma she said ok that I could come pway, she didn't want any sweet and pwetty doggies being wowwied.

I weally have been ok...just not any 'citement goin on 'wound here. Until just wite this very minute! Momma wooked outside...and wight outside our swiding gwass window , in our patio chair...you will never ever guess what is there! It is a kitty! Not my brofur....but a whole nuver kitty! He just got wight up in that chair and went and waid down! Momma has seed him 'fore and he is a sweet baby she said...she seed him one time a wong time ago before I wived here and almost took him in for Sage's brofur...I'm gwad she didn't cuz then she wouldn't have founded me! Anyway, momma got some of my brofurs food and some water and took to him. He didn't wun or nufin! He stood there and ated the food and dwank the waters and then waid back down in the chair! He is gway tabby wif pwetty gween eyes. Momma finks she needs to give him a towel or somefing to curl up in...so we may do that waiter. She said I can't weally go pway wif him, cuz he might have somefing...and Sage can't pway wif him either...but momma says she will make sure he has food if he wants to stick awound and be our outside pwotector! He is asweep wite now...cept Sage keeps going MEOW at him, cuz Sage wants to get to pway wif him pwetty bad...Sage wikes uver kitties a wot....I don't know if I wike him or not. I twust Sage cuz he is my brofur and he never hurts me when we pway...but that new kitty might not know that I am a gweat doggy pal.

In the meantime, momma says she needs her puter back...'sides me and Sage gotta go watch this new kitty...oh, he's asweep weel good now!

Kitty Pawty!!

I just had to wet all my pup pals know what I found out fwom my brofur, Sage the kitty!!! You know, I told you how me and my momma had a 'venture not this day, but uver day? Me and you guys was so sure he had a big kitty pawty while me and momma was gone, well, while momma was gone to work the next day, he told me what happened!!

Sage the kitty, my brofur (who is vewy handsome boy for a kitty) told me that he DID have a wittle get-togefer, but it isn't wike I fink. He said his fwiends are pwetty mewwo, and that it was just a few of the boys, and no woose women were awwowed.(My brofur has an onwine gurlfwiend of wike free years or somefing...her name is SugarPuff) He said they pwaid a wittle cards, had some cat-nip ale, and meowed about the twouble of homewess kitties and how to twy and solve the pwobwem. They also had some tuna tweats and wistened to some jazz music....he said they are aristocats...kinda. Not onwy that, but he had a supwise for ME.....Sophie! He said if I check his bafwoom awea, they had me some extwa special kitty nugget tweats wif extwa spwinkles!

I fink my kitty brofur weally wuvs me...and I wuv him too...maybe I should go pway chase wif him to pwoove it!!

Momma Made a Boo-Boo aka Adventure for Sophie!

My momma made a boo-boo and it made us haveded to go on a ‘venture!! Momma said to don’t ask why, but we got to pwetend we was on a vacation not today but yesterday when she got home fwom work. She said it could be fun wuffin’ it for one night, but she had to do an onwine meeting wif some peeples in one of her new cwasses waiter. So, she was able to find us a pet-fwiendwy hotel for the night!

I didn’t know where we was goin, but I am awways up for a twip anywhere wif my momma! We got to where we was goin,which weally wasn’t vewy far fwom home.She wouldn’t wet me come in at vewy first. Then we got out, and she got a elebenty million (Thanks Zaidie) bags out of the car and ME, Sophie…and here we goed. She pusheded a button…and you know what happeneded? A DOOR OPENED and my cwazy momma…she walked wight in there…and wanted me to come wif her! She said, “Come on sweetie, its just an ewebator”…but I fink momma had losteded it …again! Finawy, I got in…and those doors…they twied to cwose behinded me! I twied to wun out and they stopped…but momma said I had to come in side this woom. Then the doors did cwose and we moved and the doors openeded again and we got out…cwazy! then we went in a woom where there was a big tv and a couple of beds and a bafroom! She told me it was a MOTEL??? I don’t know why we didn’t have Sage wif us, but momma said Sage doesn’t appreciate adventure wike me does.

Momma fixeded me my dinners and some waters and even gave me a “Better Than Ears” tweat for being so good. I even had to wide on that cwazy ewebator fing two more times, cuz momma fought she weft a bag in the car wif her cwothes in it..but she didn’t. Actually, poor momma had weft all her stuffs at home and just remembered her puter and all my stuffs. I am supwised she didn’t cwy…but she said she didn’t have time and it wouldn’t help this anyway. Waiter, she had her wecture then her meeting on the puter and finawy we went to bed to sweep.

This morning we got up and got weady to weave. She got all our stuffs, and said she wouldn’t make me go in the ewebator no more, that we could go down the stairs. I told her she weally habded wost it, dat it was too earwy in the morning to be doin’ all that stwenuous exercise. ‘Sides I is a big gurl and am not ‘fwaid of no siwwy ewebator! Anyway, she bwought me back home to my brofur Sage, who I fink frew a kitty party wast night! She said to don’t wowwy cuz evewyfing would be back to normal by the time she got home fwom work today.

What she fink I gonna wowwy ‘bout…I wuv these cwazy adventures my momma takes me on!

My momma came home and told me I had to talk to ALL my doggie fwiends and see if I could muster up some help for this cause! On the fwont of today's paper was a stowy 'bout a wady who has saved a bunch of doggies from kill shelters, and twained them, and now they are in a vewy popular show in our awea. One of them wots of peeples and doggies may know, cuz she has won fings for being "ugwy" before.

Well, now she is in a "cutest dog" contest, where the gwand pwize is $1,000,000. The fing about it is, the momma of Miss Ellie has said if she wins, that she will donate the WHOLE FING to the Sevier County Humane Society, and if she makes the top 12, the pwace she works will donate $1 per vote! (Sevier County is where we live, and the animal shelter is always in dire need of EVERYTHING.)

My Twip to Cades Cove

It seems wike forever since momma has wet me wite in my diawy! I fink she has been busy finishing up somefing wif a weally hard cwass. She just started two new ones, so I fought I should huwwy and wite somefing before she gets busy again!

It sure was ‘fusing on wast Wednesday night when I didn’t get to go to my skool! But momma took me on a couple of weally good walks on diffewent days so I was ok! I met some weally nice doggies in our neighborhood! Then, one day, momma and me wan into an old fwiend of hers fwom when she was in skool. This fwiend invited us to go to a pwace in the countwy on Sat’day. My momma doesn’t wike this pwace at all…but since I was invited and she fought I would wike it, she said ok.

So on Sat’day, after momma’s skool or cwass or meeting fing where she goes to wose stuffs, we went on this twip. It is kinda far…but it was fun cuz I gots to set on mommas wap the whole way and she wasn’t dwiving so I could wook and wook and wook and it not bofer her! When we got to the pwace in the countwy, we wolled down the windows and you hafta dwive weeeeeeeel swow cuz evewyone is wooking for animals and stuffs. But I WUVED it! I got to stick my head out the window and smell all the new smells! And I even saw a fing….momma said it was a deer…standing WIGHT THERE! And I wooked at her for a minute, then I went “WOOOOF” and she wooked at me and went on eating!! She was pwetty! Then there is a pwace where you can get out and walk…so we did and I mets wots of peoples that wuved me there. One famiwy even wanted to get my pitcher!!! Then a daschund doggy got all tore up cuz I am cuter than him I guess, and he barkeded at me…but I didn’t pay him no ‘ttention cuz I am secure in my schnauzerdom!

Momma said she didn’t hate the pwace we went near as much wif me there, cuz I was so good and so happy! I was so tired though, I totawy passed out on the way home even though I twied and twied not to! But mommas wap is sooooooo comfortable that I couldn’t help it!

Gwaduation Night

Well, the big day finawy came! I was so nervous, I didn't even eat all day! Momma came home fwom work and fixed my bag, this time she packed the camewa too! Of course we got there early, and momma walked me WAYYYYYYYYYYY over to the other side of the shopping pwace...it a BIG awea. We waited outside cuz I get too upset finking I am missing cwass wif that new cwass going on. All the other doggies came then...Bo, Marley and Ella. We pwayed some wif each other...peoples passing by didn't know what to fink of us doggies all out on the sidewalk having such a fun time! (If our teacher had seed us we might have all fwunked gwaduation!!)

When we finawy got to go to our cwass...our teacher, Miss Shaunna, told us about our final test! First thing and most importantwy...we had to have FUN! (YAY...I am GOOD at that!) Then we had to go to stations frewout the store and compwete tasks. We had to "Sit & Stay" for 30 seconds, "Down & Stay" for 30 seconds, 5 puppy pushups, "Leave It" as we walk frew the kitty aisles, "Come" and "Sit" when called, do a trick for a person, and pwactice good manners while meeting 2 peoples in the store...all while using good loose leash walking skills. We all did so good and we all got our dipwomas!!! Momma got some pitchurs too, but she was too tired to put them on puter wast night...and I bet she forgot the cord fingy so she won't be able to do it at work today eiver...so maybe this night she will get up some pitchurs of my gwaduation!!!

All the mommies and daddies swapped e-mail addwesses, so maybe we won't all wose contact. We maybe can have a pway date sometime...that would be so fun!! I know I am wittler than them on the outside, but I got so much spunk I can hang wif those pups! Oh...and Bo's mom, she bwought us all a gwaduation pwesent of some homemade peanutbutter doggy cookies and our teacher gave us each a vegetarian pig ear fingy. We all wayed down and ate them up! YUMMY!!!! It was the biggest night of my whole puppy wife, and I may have to sweep for two or fwee days to wecover fwom the 'citement!

Ohhhh the Twickewy!

Well, tomowwow is my big day! I finawwy gwaduate fwom puppy school! I fought this would be a happy occasion...one for cewebwation and maybe a new toy or fancy tweat.

Momma came home today, and we went on a walk over to our garbage awea...TWICE!! She wet me sniff and stuff some too!! It all sounds gweat, wight? WONG!!!!!!!!! She was twying to twick me. My vewy own momma who is 'posed to wuv me was just twying to make me tired so she could dwag out those scissor fings. That's wight...when we got back home, she got down wif me and even twied some peanut butter...but I am too good to be fooled by such fings. She did manage to twim me in a couple of spots that were buggin her most. Just when I fought fings had hit wock bottom...she did it again...she TWICKED me! Next fing I know, I am getting a BAF! It was about half over before I weawized what was going on....but I made sure that momma got almost as good a baf as me!

All that twickewy, I felt wike I should show her...so when I finawwy got out of that bafroom....next fing momma knowed she found where I went frow up! You should have seed her face..she felt BAD....then I felt bad. So, to twy to make it up to her, I fought it might be ok just to huwwy up and eat it and maybe she would fink she 'magined it...but it was too wate and she wouldn't wet me. She was 'fraid I might be sick...but I was just fine. I did feel weally weally bad for twying to make her feel bad though...and have spent the west of the evening giving momma extwa wuv and cuddling wif her.

I guess she just wanted me to be pwetty and smell good for my gwaduation and pitchurs....I can't bwame her for that!

No Gwoomer For Meeeee!

It happened this very morning! Momma called where my school is and cancelled my gwooming appointment!! At first I was wooking at the phone in disbewief...but then I heard the sweet, sweet words! The bad news is that I didn't get to go on the woad twip wif momma...but that is OK!

She had her meeting or school or cwass or sumfing she still had to go to in the big city...you know, the one where you don't get tweats? I just don't know WHY she goes there! Anyway...she says she went there and she wost free somefing more pounds...for a total of eight pounds....and she isn't mad at all!!I can't bewieve she went there...didnt get tweats...wost somefing 2 weeks in a wow and isn't even MAD! Not onwy is she not mad...she seems HAPPY. My momma cwazy sometimes but I wuv her...cuz someone has to!

All this is pwetty good news...but she did dwag out a funny wooking pair of scissors and comb...I have a feewing this is where my part of "being a good girl and we won't do the gwoomer just yet" is gonna come into pway...

Puppy Class #7....and stuff

Once again momma came home and got my stuffs weady and we went into the big city for my puppy cwass. We got there early of course, so we wandered awound the store for a while. My teacher, Miss Shauna, had a new puppy cwass start wast week and it was going on while we were there. I was soooooooooo 'fwaid I was missing somefing cuz I could hear her doing the teaching. I was a nervous weck that momma was making me miss cwass. Then I saw my pal Bo outside, and knew it was ok. All us week 7 pups got there and were hanging out waiting on the other cwass to finish...and you know what?? My golden wetweiver fwiend, Ella....her momma made everyone (EVEN ME!) a pwetty bandana for our necks! Mine is sweet hot pink wif a bow and bones and my name (Sophie)!!!! It is so pwetty and I wet momma put it on me and I wore it all frew cwass. We each had to get up and do a couple of commands and I did pwetty good considering all the action going on in dat pwace! Next week is gwaduation and the teacher said to be sure to bwing cameras in case we want a picture of the other doggies...and you know I do. We are going to miss everyone so much...all our cwass wuvs each other. Marley's dads are so gweat..I don't get any at home dad time, cuz momma don't have no boy peeples wound. (She says we's better off for wight now that way anyway, so I guess I will twust her on dat.)

When we weft cwass wast night, it was waining...and momma was wunning wif me and it was FUN...and den momma...she wost her shoe in a wiver of wain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOLL!!!!!!! We had to stand in the wain while she chased her shoe! It was so funny. THEN...when we got homeded we came in and said hewwo to my brofur, Sage the kitty. Then momma fix my dinner and got on her puter to do some homeworks. She was dare a wong wong time...and then wookded outside and there was my brofur, SAGE.....OUTSIDE! He was wooking in making "meowy" moufs at my momma!! He was wike...HEY YOU, WET ME IN!!!! Momma was wike, how did you get out there?!?!?!? BOL! BOL! He was a good boy, though...cuz he stayeded wight there twying to get momma's attention! Momma felt so bad...but it was all ok. I am gwad we got Sage back, cuz I would be wost wifout my brofur to pway and nap wif all day while momma's at work!

One more piece of weally good news. Momma came wight out and admitted that she had me a 'ppointment on Saturday wif the gwoomers. But since she finks I am awfully cute wight now, and she doesn't want me to have that "just got my hair cut" look in my skool pitchurs....so she said if I be a good girl and just wet her twim my whiskers and eyebwows a wittle, that she will put off the gwoomers for a couple of weeks!! I WUV MY MOMMA!!!! I am gonna twy my bestest to be good so she won't take me to dat pwace! I will wet you know how that goes...sometime I twy to be good and it no works! BOL!

Momma's up to Somefing!

This weekend momma left home pwetty early on Saturday morning..she has her skool or cwass or meeting or somefing in the big city. When she finally got home, she told me she found out at her fing she went to, she had wost 4.4 pounds...and she was happy bout it. Normally when momma woses stuff, she is mad...but her was happy 'bout this. I asked her if she got tweets this time at her skool and she had to wemind me that there are no tweets at her skool. (Again, I wonder what fun would that be???) Well...she may not have had any tweets of her own...but she had found out about a doggy bakery in the big city and she went all the way there for me after her meeting! She bwought me home a wittle bone cookie wif yougurt and spwinkles and a wittle peanut butter ball cookie!!! OMD they was sooooooo yummy!! She said the peanut butter one was called "peanut-butter pup"...just wike my furiend Reece!!! I wonder if he knows he is famous and has a cookie named after him?????

Momma tells me today that next Saturday when she goes into the big city for her cwass or skool or meeting fing that I get to wif her! I was hoping that I was going to get to go meet all the humans at her skool...but she said I was going to get to go where my skool is....but not for cwass. I have a vewy, vewy, vewy bad feewing that this is going to be bad news for me. She thinks I don't wemember...but I do....they have a gwooming pwace there in the vewy fwont. And she has been making faces at my whiskers....maybe I can hide on Saturday morning wike Zoe says!!

Puppy Class#6

Well, yesterday momma said we's gonna be in big twouble at puppy cwass again. I told you 'bout her week...well, we didn't get a chance to work on our homework near like we should have. She was sure our teacher, Miss Shauna, would bounce us out on our heads.

When we gots to the big city to the school, momma took me out to see if I needed to pee pee in the grass again...but this time we's smart. She saw I had no intention of going pee-pee, so we got off the gwass. Then...just as we walked through the parking lot...the swinkers came on! We won that time....the spwinkers twied to get us but we was too smart for them!

So we went in the store. I met a doggy that wooked just wike my brofur, Sage the kitty. It was a bwack and white pekingnese or sumfing. I met a BIG dog a few times...I dont know what kind she was though, but we wiked each ofer. We couldn't go on in our cwasswoom, cuz Miss Shauna had a new puppy class starting. (She only has us a couple more weeks, and I guess she wuvs having the pups awound. We wooked in the twaining area...and guess what??? There was a wittle bitty ME!! It was a schnauzie puppy. We met her when she finished...her name is Lilly and she is just 11 weeks old! There was also 2 baby boxers, a black daschund, a golden wetweiver, a boston terrier and maybe somefur else. A bunch of doggies in that class. My class was hangin' out outside while they finished up. We are all huge pals by now! Momma told all the pawrents 'bout how I saveded her wife wast week. They were all so impwessed wif me! Me and momma gonna miss our puppy class furs and humans! I wonder who will give Marley's dad kisses??

In cwass, we pwacticed "Stay", then we pwacticed "Come" with us pups supposed to "Sit" wight before we body swam our mommas (or daddies). Again...I fink this is a useless stunt...althought Marley, Bo, and Ella go ahead and do it. I am schnauzer-super-fast...why swow down before we get our target????? Then we met peoples in the store, then we had some loose leash exercises to do around the store. It was very active cwass...and guess what? I did pwetty darn good for a puppy who's momma had failed to do all the homework we should have! That is good..and we didn't get kicked out of cwass! Momma says I saved us big-time! This week we just keep working on old stuffs, and next week we gonna get to wearn some twicks! Then, the next cwass is when we gwaduate! I am so 'cited!!

Gettin' back to normal

Momma went to the store yes'day mornin and came back wif all kinds of stuff. She got a big fing she call a baseball bat to put beside our bed and some ofer sticks she said were for the door and the windows. She took those to work today to get one of her human furiends to get them the right size.

The first night after the scare I didn't cuddle wif momma, even though I knew it made her sad. I kept watch at the foot of the bed all night, keeping my eye on where the bad guy had been! Last night though, since we had the baseball bat, I decided it would be ok to let my guard down a wittle and I cuddled up wif momma 'gain and it made her weal happy that I sweeped wif my head on her neck like usual.

Oh...and she weally did bwing me some new chew toys that vewy next day when she got home fwom her meeting in the big city! And Sage is wikin' me even more than he did before, since I saveded his wife. He wiked me pwetty good before, but now he weally wikes me, and that makes momma happy too! Yah, fings are gettin' pwetty back to normal now...and maybe even better!!

I Am A HEWO!!!!!!!!

First off...I need to say that I am not much of a barker. I am just kinda laid back. I ROOF sometimes at my brofur (Sage the Kitty) and when momma takes me out sometimes I ROOOF to make sure everybody and everyfur knows I am there. Otherwise...not much bofers me. So dis very morning I totally surpwised my momma. It was vewy early...like 5 am. She was kinda awake cuz me and my brofur was giving her wuv. (We been givin' her xtra cuz her having bad week.) My brofur was sitting next to her making his funny noise that momma wuvs....and I was waying on her being sweet and kissing her ear. All of a sudden Sage the Kitty disappeared and I started WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFING. I GWOWLED and I WOOFED and I GWOWLED/WOOFED very vicious. At the very very first my momma thought I was being ugly toward my brofur...but that wasn't it. She opened her eyes and then saw what had me going. It was a shadow of a person on our porch twying to get in. Momma SCWEEEEEEEEEAMED and SCWEEEEAMED. And the person went away. Momma got up to go potty and her wegs were shakin. She saw where the scween part of the door was open...it is a big gwass swidey dooor fingy. She pwolly would call the powice, but her phone is dead (not smart momma). Dare are dwunken young types that wive next door....she figures it was one of dem going in wong pwace, cuz she heard a door cwose dare in a minute. My brofur...well he hid under bed and is still dare. Momma fought for a minute dat dey had stoled him cuz he wasn't awound. But he too fast to beed stolded...I know dat...I haf to use my schnauzie speed to pway chase wid him. My momma not feelin wike laying back down in da bed so I am pwotecting her some more. Poor momma...she THOUGHT she was having a wuf week. I bet she weal glad I am here to weally pwotect her....and i weally weally did!

Momma Down

I dunno much 'bout humans stuffs...but my momma not been quite herself this week. She hasn't even wet me pway any games much in my special schnauzie gwoup. She says somefing gets her goat every single day and she comes home weaking. I din't know she had a goat...is dat wike a zebwa? I knows I don't wike her weaking all over the pwace though. Yes'day she had go to the toof dogter and she said she has to have some special sumfing done to a toof. Today she say some person weminded her 'bout a human boy dat did not wike her...I dont know why anyone would not wike my momma...she is pwetty and sweet and wunderful and I wuv cuddwing wif her! She told me early in the week that Saturday she wanted to start going to some humans class cuz she is fat and she wants to be wittle again. She is pwetty tall...but is that the same thing as fat....oh boy, what if she gets to be the same tall as me!! We would have FUN then!! She says there are no tweets at her class...that they learn how to not have so many tweets...I ask her what fun is a skool and cwass and teacher and stuffs if dere is no tweets? I been twying to give momma some extra wuv and kisses this week...and cuddle wif her even more. It makes her smile so much when i wuv on her. My brufer, Sage the Kitty, even gave her some extra wuv wast night. (He's pwetty good for a kitty...and momma wuvs him too.) Momma says she is ok for us furs to not worry 'bout her. She has a big skool test 'bout taxes this week along wif all the other stuffs she has in her brains...but she says that is not ours to worry 'bout...that we need to just be happy. Well...it makes me happy to give her wots and wots of puppy kisses...so that is what I will do!

Puppy Class #5

So today was my skool day! Everyfing was going as scheduled...momma came home and fixed my treats and got my special skool bag ready. She did some few chores...and we were on our way. Bof me and momma were glad to see it had stopped waining, cuz it had wained off and on all day...and I already had my baf this week! So, when we get to the store in the big city we were early...as usual, so momma took me out to the grassy parts to see if I needed to go pee pee. I was sniffin' round cuz there were all sorts of fun scents..then somefing very very odd happened. There was dis stwange noise...then wetness....it was SPWINKLERS!!!!!!!!!! I had never met spwinklers before....and let me say I never care to again!!Momma says she doesn't want to either!! That set me up just to be in a bad mood!

So we went in the store and I made sure everyone knew I was there...just in case. At the front of the store you can see the gwoomers. I got sooooooooo 'cited, cuz I thought I saw my furiend, Zaidie!!! I was like..."MOMMA MOMMA...it is Zaidie!!" And she said, no that Zaidie wivs far far away, and I had to wemember that he just was gwoomed anyway! We watched for a few minutes to make sure that gwoomer wasn't schnauzering the westie...cuz we know how twaumatic that is for everyone involved!! However...this disappointment that my dogster furiend wasn't right there didn't help my mood!

Anyway...I did enjoy seeing my furiends (Ella, Marley and Bo). Although I am not sure what Bo's deal is...he is so loud sometimes and I just wanted to listen to my teacher and not have him in my face this day...cuz I had been spwinkled! Also, Bo's pawrents brought their human grandson...and he kept bofering me while I tried to pay attention. Of course I would have let him...but I think my momma was gettin' agitated at us bof. We practiced again wif "Come". I am sooooooooo good at "Come". All the other pawrents wuf to watch me run super-schnauzer fast to my momma. While one of Marley's dads waited, he told us that Marley doesnt give kisses. I said that was a sad thing...so I gave him kisses cuz he thinks I am pwetty and he was sooooooo happy. (I think bof Marley's dads may wish they had a schnauzie after seeing how wonderful and fun and pwetty I am!!) Then we were 'posed to learn to "Sit" before we meet strangers. I am a schnauzer for paw's sakes...I have too much OOMPH in my personality for that business. Appawently that is supposed to help me stop going pee pee everytime I meet a new person...whatever. THEN...we had to practice "Come" and our pawrent tried to make us "Sit" before we get to them. YEAH RIGHT!! BOL...I like body-slammin' momma...what fun would stopping be?

Anyway...I guess momma says we have a WOT of work this week...I think I may take Zoe's baf advice and run hide for all this!

I Was Tricked...

So over the weekend, momma decided to take a break from her studying and took a baf. I had to make sure she was ok in the giant tub of water...so I stayed wif her and even licked her shoulder. She did all kinds of funny stuffs to her feet and everyfing...I think this was her grooming herself. Well..after that plus hearing me waf at all my pup pals stories of them getting bafs....guess what? You got it...she looked at me funny today and said..."your whiskers are kinda gettin' dingy". Next thing I know...off with my collar! Then she went and sat on the side of the tub....like she was gonna do some more self-groomin' I would need to help her with. Next thing I know, I am in the tub...and there is water and oh my...it was awful. Actually, I did way better than when I had bafs before...but I hate the after baf time. I look all crazy and I will have no part of any "drying" business. Momma says I look real pretty...but I am a wittle mad her her over this ordeal. Oh....and now guess what? Me being clean isn't good enough for her. She was lookin me over sayin' that my whiskers are startin' to get long like a boy....that means I may have to go back to the groomers soon....OMD!!!

Little Miss Destructo....

I killed my purple care bear today. After trying for days...I finally got the darn eye off and she-zam! Momma looked up from her really boring book and thought the floor was covered in soap suds...it was the insides of my bear. Momma says she might sew it up so I can have some more fun wif him...but I dunno. Then I had one of my brother's (Sage the Kitty) toys...a mousey on a string that I do so wuf...and I ripped into him too. Since he was a kitty toy, it was a wittle messier cuz there was some kinda hyper kitty stuff inside the stuffins. I think it mighta worked on me too...cuz I got the zoomies...BOL!! Wonder what I can get next?

Me Helpin Momma

My momma says she was behind on her skool work this week, so she has been reading and typing all day. Her reading takes a lot of time and concentration...she didn't even have on the tv! So, I know how hard she was workin', so I helped her. No matter which way she decided to sit or hold her book, I would lay right next to the book and try to help turn pages. Then when she had to do stuffs on the puter I would lay my head on the keyboard to help her push buttons or just take a nap on her lap so she could hug me wif her arms as she typed! I know it was a help to her cuz she kept saying "Sophie, honey, you don't make a very good window"....that has to be a good thing, cuz windows dont give sweet kisses like me! I even thought it would help if I got some stuffs out of my brother's box...she figured out what I was up to when I had that special smell on my whiskers...BOL!! I dunno why she doesn't like kisses after I been having yummy kitty nuggets....

I Hate Mondays....

I do so hate Mondays. I don't know why momma has to work...she says it is so we can pay for somewhere to live...which I do suppose is important. But after she spends all day with me on Saturdays and Sundays, it really stinks for it to be just me and my brother, Sage the kitty, all day. When she gets home on Mondays I usually give her sooooooooooo much more attention than usual, just to make sure she knows I am still wuffing her even though she was gone all day! Yesterday she had a big surprise for me though! We went back to the park, like we did in the spring. It wasn't as hot as it normally is in July, so she took me and we walked, and she let me sniff and she even ran a few steps!!! She kept saying to me, "Sophie, look, there's a squirrel!" About 4 or 5 times she says this...I swear, still the only thing I saw was some wittle critter with a furry tail.Then we practiced some of my homework and I think I did good. I gotta do good, cuz I really want to graduate...I still think momma has something up her sleeves for when I graduate!!

When we got home, she thought I was busy having dinner, and she went in to clean my brother's fun sandbox! Didn't she know I could help her with that?????!!!?!?!??!? Luckily, I was able to get there before she finished and got my head in between her legs so I could help! She gets really fussy, and I don't know why?! She doesn't know, but I snuck some kitty nuggets into the Schnauzer Stroll on Saturday night to share with my schnauzie buddies!!

Anyway...I just wanted to vent about Mondays. I bet that is why humans complain so much about Mondays....it is cuz they miss their furs while they are at work all day!!

Puppy Class #3...and stuff

So yesterday was my third day at school!! I had been actin' kinda wild this week with all the SOTW excitement, so momma was afraid I would try to show off too much. I didn't wanna stress out my momma...so I was so good and she was so proud of me! I was minding my own business, making sure my spot in class was fixed just right before the other pups got there! I really wuf my pup-pals there in class now! I was so happy to see my pretty teacher, Miss Shauna, that I went pee-pee in the floor...and she didn't even care! We played musical chairs...I don't think I won...but it sure was fun! We are learning some stuff this week that my momma is real excited about! Take It, Leave It and Down. I like the idea of "take it"....and I am cool with the "down", cuz I get to just lay down....but I dunno how I feel about "leave it"...what is the purpose of that? Anyway, it is all good there in the class...my teacher was so proud of me because on my first day all the other dogs made me scared, and now they can crawl all over me and I don't care! Momma said we have 5 more classes before I graduate. I think momma may give me a special present of some kind if I graduate from my school...she kind of seems like she is keeping a secret...and I don't want to spoil it for her, so I havent said anything.

Momma had to go back to the big city again today cuz she had a dogter appointment. Last week we saw the lady who works there and she said to bring me...but momma didn't. When she got to the dogter today...everyone said "Where's Sophie"...even the dogter!!! They said I better come the next time!!! Momma said that the dogter brings her furs to work and they stay in the office all day...wouldn't that be great!

One more thing..but don't tell momma. Since momma went to the big city without me today...she brought me a present home. It is a pink and purple squeaky porcupine. The color is really pretty...but don't momma know that porcupines are vewy dangerous? I dunno 'bout this toy....poor momma she tries.

My Fur-dadda is Missing...

So my momma posted a comment and a picture about me on her Facebook page (it is kind of like Dogster but for humans...can you believe it?!). Some friends of hers from way a long time ago are also her friends on there, and are the momma and dadda of MY fur-mommy and dadda. Popo and Rosebud (who aren't on Dogster) are my fur-momma and dadda's names. So my momma's friend wrote her to tell her how cute I am and how big I've gotten, but also had some bad news. They have a big farm and a huge fenced in yard for their fur-babies to play in. Well, apparently my dadda got out of the fence last week and no one has been able to find him since. They have looked and looked and looked everywhere. My momma is real sad about it cuz he really loved her when she came to meet me. I am sad too, but I don't remember him too well. I do remember the little girl in the family...she called me 'Dreamer' becuz I slept a lot back then...and I was her favorite of all my brothers and sisters! I bet she is sad about my Popo dadda being gone. I do hope that Popo is ok somewhere and that maybe he will come home.

Schnauzer of the Week?!?!?! OMD!!!!

Well, just when I thought my wittle life couldn't get any better, me and momma found out this mornin' that I had been named "Schnauzer of the Week" in my awesome Dogster group "Schnauzer Rules"!!!!!!! I never thought that wittle me would get to be SOTW ...at least being so new in the group, and so wittle!! I hope I can handle it and answer all my pals questions and send everyone thank yous that I need to!

I better go get a nap in, so that I can be sure and have energy for all this limelight!!!!!!!!!!

(Wait till those lab and retriever puppies in my puppy class hear 'bout THIS....then we will see who has last bark!!!)

Running and Naps and Stuff

So yesterday, Friday, my momma was off from work. She took me on a picnic out at the dam just like she said she would. I got to run and rest and run some more. She packed me a turkey hot dog all cut up cuz Miss Shauna (that's my teacher) said that turkey hot dogs were good to use as treats...and momma thought a picnic with me was a good excuse for a special treat!! Momma took her big book to try to read too. She has classes all her own too...but she said her teacher doesn't give treats...just something called grades. She tried to read her book, but she said it is too boring to read in public places cuz she might fall asleep...I was like, "but momma, what is wrong with THAT?" She said it was different for humans...and they couldn't just sleep out on the grass, cuz someone might steal stuff or even ME!!! I really love other people...but I don't want anyone to take me from my momma cuz I think she would be lost without me...cuz then all she would have is my brother...Sage the Kitty...and that would be BAD!!

Momma has also been taking me with her to take off our garbage! She used to just put it in her car and then over to the complex dumpster. But this week, she has walked it over and let me come too. On the way back to our home she even runs with me!!!!!!!!! I do so love to run. Momma said she really only likes running if the boogy man is after her...but for me she will run a little bit!! I don't know what the boogy man is...but I wonder if he has tennis balls too? Anyway, the men that work here keep the grass cut nice, and I love it!!

Momma has been trying to get some new pictures of me outside and with my brother and stuff...but she says I move too fast! I can't help that though...that is just how I roll!! BOL!!!!!!!

Whew, the action of this weekend is catchin' up, and now I need a nap!

Puppy Class #2

Well, yesterday was my second puppy class. Mommy got home from work and fixed up all my yummy treats in little bitty pieces, and put them in baggies. It drove me simply crazy that those treats were all right there and I couldn't have any yet!! Then we got ready and went to class. Our class is in the big city...and it takes us about 45 minutes to get there...but mommy said that I am worth it! She does love me so much!!!

When we got to the store, we took a walk in the parking lot first, cuz we were real early. We saw a lady who works at momma's doctor's office. She said she had seen a picture of me (I told ya mommy loves me a bunch!!)...so I showed the lady how good I could love people!! I got between her feet and turned over on my back and laughed and laughed!! She even said that mommy could bring me when she goes for an appointment next week!!!!!!!!!

Then we went in the store...I only was a little freaked out...not bad like last time. Then I saw Ella, she is a golden retriever in my class (I thought she was a lab before). Anyway, I didn't freak out and bark, we just sniffed each other. We are pals now. Then I saw Bo, he is the real little lab puppy. We just sniffed too....so we must be pals too!!! Then Marley the black lab...and I was SOOOOOOO good!! Bear the lab/chow didn't come to class. Good enough, cuz he is the one who really freaked me out last week!

The teacher taught our parents all kinds of stuff about nipping and hand motions and loose leash walking. I don't know what the deal is with any of that, but mommy says we have a lot of homework to do! All I know, is that I am getting tons more treats now....and wow oh wowie wow wow at the different kinds!!!!! Mommy says she knows I am a smart girl and will learn, but that she doesn' t know if she is smart enough to teach me! She is gonna try though, cuz I saw her buying a bunch of new treats too!!!

After class, we had a long ride home...I slept on mommy's lap most of the way home. She said we had to go straight to bed though when we got home cuz she was beat.

Apparently she is getting to be off work on Friday though since she didn't get to be off last Friday. She said since we live in a big tourist town it is just as well cuz there were too many people in town last weekend anyway. She got this big idea that maybe we will go to the lake (I dunno what that is) and maybe have a picnic and a walk at the dam overlook. I dunno what any of that is...but mommy is so sweet and loves me so much that it has to be something great!!!

Speaking of great...a really sweet cute and brave furiend sent me a dozen roses on dogster today....and it made me soooooooo happy!!

Uh oh....my brother (Sage -the kitty) is lookin' for some action...I better go!

4th of July...Ode to the Senses

So everyone has been talking about fireworks and the 4th of July...but I had no idea what the hub-bub was about. Mama said since we live in the city it shouldn't matter to us, since the police would get ya if people use them here. Well...our neighbors must not be 'fraid of the police...cuz right across the road...BOOM BOOM BOOM. Mama said she couldn't hear anything at first...but noticed the horror of it when I started runnin' 'round the apartment WOOFING at the doors. Finally, I just got up on mama's lap, cuz I knew she would take care of me if sumfing bad happened.

Well...then I think sumfing else bad did happen. Mama kept having to cover up my back side. At first she thought those neighbors were burning sumfing...but then she realized that maybe it was me!! See...I had a different kind of food today, cuz the pet store that sells my food was closed cuz of the 4th and mama was out of my regular food. She knows it isnt good to switch...but didn't want me starving. Apparently the new food made stinky smells come out my backside ....hmm ...dunno.

Oh well, mama has to read a really boring book...and said we could go in the bed so maybe I wouldnt be so scared and she could just read and we could just cuddle and read together.....so goodnight everyone!!

My First Day of School!!

So yesterday was the big day for me. Mom came home from work and we got ready and went to the big city for class! I had been so excited all day...but then, when we got there I got SOOOOOO nervous! Even though I see other doggies at the park, I guess the excitement of the whole thing got to me. The big bright store, and those funny slickery floors. I kinda had to make sure everyone I met knew I could handle myself, so I kind of gave them some WOOFS. I don't really want anyone to know...but momma held me, and i was really shaking. We met a nice lady and fellow who said they had 2 like me at home.They were soooooooo nice!! Then class started, and there were 2 yellow labs and 2 black labs and me in class. Momma held me on her lap, cuz the teacher was mostly talkin' to the mommies and daddies. I didn't feel so bad, cuz the labs were barkin and actin up a little like I had earlier. Then the teacher came round and was giving us treat samples....she sure is nice. Momma was able to put me down and I "watched" her like I was supposed to. By the time we left, I was able to walk out and not be scared one bit! I even went pee-pee in the grass!!

Apparently we have homework....but I think it means that I get nice massages and lots of treats and get to "watch" mommy. I love watching her anyway...so that will be ok!!

Mommy says she is tired now, cuz she took me running in a friend's yard today...so we need to go to bed! Mommy is so good at coming up with my favorite stuff....running and sleeping and watching and massages and treats....but momma says it is all cuz she feels lucky. I don't know what lucky is...but I LIKE IT!!!

What A Day!!!!!!

Wow...this has been a huge day for little ol' me! First of all, I missed mom all day, cuz she started back to work yesterday. We snuggled so sweet last night....she seems to not mind when I sleep with my head on her neck and kind of snore in her ear!

Anyway, I was SO happy to see her when she got home...and she was telling me she stopped by my doctor's office. (Of course I LOVE them, and wasn't sure why I didn't get to go with her.) She told me then that she got my shot records so we would be A-OK to start school tomorrow! She said my new teacher even called today to make sure I was all ready!! She said my teacher seems really nice...I WUF really nice people!!!!

So then, mom was messin' around on the computer and I had a surprise for her! I was chompin' on somthing and of course mommy asks..'what are you eating'...and goes for my mouth. I dropped it willingly this time...and low and behold it was one of my baby teefers!!!!!!!!! My doctor told mommy before to not be alarmed if she started finding baby teeth. She tried looking in my mouth (I don't like that one little bit) and dog-gone if another didn't flop out! Whew...that wore me out!

All that...then I fell asleep with my head on mommy's chest while she got on to help me write my diary today....and then we found out from all the nice Schnauzer Rules pups that I had a diary pick!! I didn't know WHAT to think about THAT!! I had mom help me write a bunch of thank you notes...and she prolly will have to write more...cuz I don't wanna seem like an ungrateful pooch to all my pals!!!!!

In the meantime though...I think I will be needing another nap before bedtime!! Plus, tomorrow being my first day of school, I will want to be well rested!!

What's Mom Mean??

So mom was gone ALL day today...she said she had errands or something. It was so hot outside...I was afraid she would be way too hot!! But then she came home, and said she signed me up for "puppy classes" apparently we start next Wednesday! I don't know what to expect and I am a little nervous, but excited at the same time! She said that it will help me learn some "manners"....don't know what that is either...but apparently it means she will get to take me to a lot more places, so I am all for it. I have been totally snuggling up with mom the last few mornings cuz she is on vacation...I know she loves it, and she doesn't even make me move from the comfy spot on the bed!!

Uh oh...my brother the kitty is wanting to play chase, so I better go!!!

Mommy found dogster!

So...I think my mommy has been on vacation or something. She has been home a lot this week with me which I love! She found this awesome site...and now I get to be socially networked just like she is on Facebook!!

Today she took me where she works and I got to meet all of her work friends...I LOVED them!! Monday she took me to get a new hairdo...it was my very first big girl hair do. She didn't say anything out loud, but I think it took mommy a while to get used to it...she was used to me looking like a little teddy bear.

I love that she has been getting to sleep late...we have been snuggling snuggling snuggling every morning!! Well...all this talk of sleep makes me wanna nap...so I better go get some zzzzz's!!
