I got tagged for a new summer game!

My friend Bob Dog invited me to play a new summer game of tag!!

Here is how you play: There are five questions for you to answer, and then you tag your pals (as many as you like!), inviting them to answer the questions in their diaries and then tag their friends!

The only new rule is...if a pup pal has been tagged by ANY OTHER PUP they CANNOT be tagged again. (No repeat tagging) So, let's start and have some summer fun. TAG YOU'RE IT!!

1. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT? Under the coffee table, where my head is covered and I feel safe. But, if its hot then I sleep on the cool floor near the front door. Someone has to guard the place!

2. DO YOU HAVE A NICKNAME(S) THAT YOUR PAWRENTS CALL YOU? Mr. Man, Magical, Big Bear

3. NOW THAT IT'S SUMMER, WILL YOU BE GETTING MORE COLD TREATS LIKE FROSTY PAWS, ICE CUBES OR ICE CREAM, ETC.? Sorry, I only eat different types of meat. Ice cream is not for me.

4. NOW THAT SUMMER IS HERE, DO YOU HAVE A SWIMMING POOL YOU USE WHEN ITS HOT?
I only like to get my paws wet. I prefer to lie in the shade of a large tree to keep cool.

5. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU DO THAT DRIVES YOUR PAWRENTS CRAZY? I like to lick one of my back paws. They are always reminding me to stop because the fur is gone. Its my obssession!

Waiting for Holiday Treats - 12/8/10

For an eleven year old Magic Man I get around pretty well. One of my favorite things to do is go for rides. It gives me a chance to see the world, smell new places and bark at people who get too close to the car. Mom says that I'm her favorite car alarm. I also like to sit in the driver's seat when I'm by myself and pretend to drive the car. If I had thumbs I would drive to every pet store to buy my favorite snacks and visit all the parks.

But, I must be patient because Santa will be here soon. I'm waiting for those delicious holiday treats like greenies, bully sticks and duck jerky... and maybe some cookies if I'm extra good. It's been raining all day here and I don't like the rain. So, I practice power napping next to the fireplace while my sister Gypsy practices various chewing techniques on my neck and ears. It's a hard life...

Magic's 12th Birthday

I’m 12 years old! What a great day we had yesterday. Mom, Dad, Gypsy and I walked along the bay and stopped for a beautiful spring picnic. Dad even remembered to bring me my favorite, chicken jerky. I can’t walk as far as I used to, but it was still fun to be with my family on such a sunny day.

When I got home Mom and Dad surprised me with a birthday chicken. Everything went well until Mom lit the candles on my roast chicken. I got scared and tried to run away from the beast. What is all that fire? I felt like I was in danger so I stayed away until they sang that silly Happy Birthday song and blew out the candles for me. Mom tried to take a photo of me, but I really was afraid of it.

The chicken was delicious! Not scary either. And my sister Gypsy got to share with me. Mom makes sure not to feed us too much at one time. I can’t wait until my next dinner! Mom says that I’m her best boy. I may be an oldy, but I’m a goody too!

Foster Dog Brother and Sister

Since my sister Gypsy crossed to the rainbow bridge, Mom has me working full time. We've had two foster dogs living in our house, first Chester then Prima. Chester just got adopted with his sister Heidi and they are reunited adopted to the same home - Yaay!

Prima is my side kick, but will be adopted tomorrow at our adoption day in Walnut Creek, CA. Prima is very puppy-like and enjoys dancing in my face. Sometimes I have to correct her with a growl or a snap. She's behaving much better around me now and we're good buddies. Mom says that I can help train her better than she can.

Happy Holidays!

It’s pretty cold here for an old guy like me. Mom took me for a walk, mostly to sniff and read the pee paper. But, I’d rather just sleep on my bed and nap. I know better than to lift my leg on the Christmas tree, but its still tempting though. Mom says I can only mark the outside trees and bushes.

I’m trying to be a good boy, and waiting for Santa to come and bring me chewy sticks and other related meat snacks. I’ve never been interested in toys. I guess I’ll have to endure the jingle bell holiday collar one more time for photos. Those silly humans!

New Doggie Brother and Sister: 2.21.12

We were fostering potential brothers and sisters for me since Gypsy crossed to the bridge in October. But, now I have a permanent new bother, Zack, and new sister, Kira. It took about a week for them to realize that I'm still the Grand Boobah of the household. Mom is relieved that Zack and I are not having any marking wars inside the house. Zack still pee pees like a girl and Mom told me not to teach him how to lift his leg. We'll see...no promises there.

Zack and Kira are inseparable, so Mom is giving me extra lovies so I don't feel left out. Kira needs more attention 'cause she becomes reactive on leash and Mom is training her to be a good dog. So Zack and I walk mostly together. I still miss Gypsy and having some new dogs in the house is a good thing. Except when they take my treats...

Life is Good - 2.23.12

It’s been over a month and I’m becoming more accepting of the new kids, Zack and Kira. Kira likes to lick my muzzle and flirt with me. I like having a new girl friend. Zack and I like to “hang out” in the yard. I can’t keep up with them, but I like being part of a pack. They are my new eyes and ears, since mine are not what they used to be.

Mom gives me extra “lovies” to make sure that I’m still a special guy. She has to feed me separately because I like to take my time at the food bowl and don’t want to be pressured by the kids. Overall, life is good. Time for my power nap….

Magic celebrates his big 13th B Day!

Today was a fun celebration for my family and me. I got my favorite gift….a birthday chicken! Delicious too! Zack and Kira can’t wait for the next one.

My eyesight is growing dim and my steps are a bit shaky these days. But, I know that my Mom and Dad love me very much. I don’t go on long walks anymore and I enjoy the heat from the sun on my coat while I’m sleeping…which is most of the time now.

It’s still fun to celebrate each day with my new brother and sister. Mom still gives me special time with her. I mostly like to lay down next to her feet. I’m a content Magic Man these days.

Magic's 14th Birthday! 5/1/13

Well, I can't believe it. Mom woke me up with the birthday song and told me that I am 14 years old today. I'm a bit creaky in the joints, can't see very well, and I've been told that I'm selectively hard of hearing. But, I can still recognize the sound of a cookie bag from anywhere in the house! I may be an old guy, but I'm still a good guy... Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes! B Day photos coming soon...
