Arrival Story:
We adopted Magic Man when he was a year old from Berkeley Humane Society. Magic had been terribly abused by kids and it took almost a year for him to trust us as his family.
Bio:
Magic is a senior guy. Once he was a “foody” dog, but now his tummy is delicate. He enjoys a light snack, but will skip his morning meal if he’s not feeling too well. Magic is an oldy, but a goody. He’s still very protective of the house, his family, and the car. His hearing and eye sight is not what it used to be, but he’s still our puppy guy.
The other side of Magic is quite gentle. He loves other dogs. He likes to play with large male dogs in the park, and can be very gentle with little dogs. He prefers the company of animals to people.

Well, I can't believe it. Mom woke me up with the birthday song and told me that I am 14 years old today. I'm a bit creaky in the joints, can't see very well, and I've been told that I'm selectively hard of hearing. But, I can still recognize the sound of a cookie bag from anywhere in the house! I may be an old guy, but I'm still a good guy... Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes! B Day photos coming soon...

Today was a fun celebration for my family and me. I got my favorite gift….a birthday chicken! Delicious too! Zack and Kira can’t wait for the next one.
My eyesight is growing dim and my steps are a bit shaky these days. But, I know that my Mom and Dad love me very much. I don’t go on long walks anymore and I enjoy the heat from the sun on my coat while I’m sleeping…which is most of the time now.
It’s still fun to celebrate each day with my new brother and sister. Mom still gives me special time with her. I mostly like to lay down next to her feet. I’m a content Magic Man these days.
