This is Pam, Flicka and Lucas's Mum.........(

It is with great sadness I need to pass on the news that Elizabeth passed away on Saturday 27th October.

She will have a Mass said and a Cremation on 10th November.

Her husband Mark who was her wonderful soul-mate and friend phoned me this morning with this sad news.

Elizabeth had the most amazing Love and Faith. Both kept her steadfast to the very end.

Her dogs , Troy her Guiding Dog and Hudson and her cat Angel Soleil were her passions and her loves as was her music.

She and a friend as singers brought beauty and light to many with their wonderful voices.

Mark.... Elizabeth's husband will carry on loving and caring for Troy , Hudson and Angel Soleil.

There is nothing that makes it easy for those who continue to love her except perhaps the knowledge that she is secure in her Faith that they will meet again in the fullness of time.

Mark.... many will hold you close and be there for you as well.... and Troy and Hudson and Angel Soleil will help you with their Love.

Sail on Fair Winds and Calm Seas Elizabeth . You were and always will be much loved.

I(Pam) will continue to look in to these Diaries and pass on your love and words...

Hello! Thanks for thinking of me. Just want you to know mom is ill with cancer. Have done chemo and radiation and now only healing will come from a healing miracle of prayer. Mom has great faith in God and knows that whatever His will for her will be the best. If it is to get well and remain here on earth then that would be great, but if it is her time to transition than that's what God feels will be best! Mom and I have loved working together and I'm still there for her. Mom has lived a very happy life and thanks to all the people, cats and dogs on dogster have been often reminded how many excellent people and pets live in this world, sharing our planet. I so appreciate all the love and support I have been given on dogster and have loved every minute of my working guiding life. I'll always have a home with my family.
I wish each of you a joyous beautiful, life filled with wonderful surprises, adventures and every good blessing!
Troy, still loving life and the every days on the shores of Lake Michigan!

Youngsters in the Field

Hello! Mom and Dad and I went to dinner with a couple of friends Friday night. The gentleman has a guide dog, another yellow labrador just like me! His guide dog is just starting out, he is 3 years old and a serious worker. But out of his harness he knows how to have fun too. We labradors know when we can party and we certainly hope there is tasty food at the party! You know lab stomachs!
I was very glad to see my young guide dog friend working out in the field. It's been quite a while since I was 3 years old but I like seeing there are young dogs taking up the working torch for their humans. I just wanted to salute all working dogs, no matter what their job, but especially, I'd like to honor young working dogs who have made the commitment to give their lives in the service of another. It's not always easy to choose a working life, there are some sacrifices, but speaking from an old dog's view my rewards have been great. Mom says "thank you" from the human's point of view to all working dogs who are so unselfish in their service.
Although, I gave a salute to working dogs, can't forget pets either. They serve in their way too with lots of love for their people! Wishing all of you joy!
Troy, honoring dogs who serve, on the Shores of Lake Michigan!
