Arrival Story:
Many of you are aware of Allie, the lost little 14 lb. Italian Greyhound in Richmond, VA. She slipped out of a boarding kennel near Boulevard/64/ 95 on 5/30. There have been postings on Craiglist, all shelters are notified, neighborhoods are flyered, and www.nbc12.com has a report in their video section. A substantial reward has been offered. As of 6/17, there have been several sightings and a humane trap has been set in the train track area near Azalea and Richmond Henrico Turnpike. Search dogs have picked up the scent in the area. Allie is skittish; she may be coaxed gently with treats. We have been tracking some of the sightings on Community Walk (link below). There were also sightings of a similar dog in the Monument Ave. area, but it is less likely that it is Allie. The search remains focused on the Richmond Henrico Turnpike area.
