Arrival Story:
My husband and I always wanted a dog in our lives, we just didn't know when would be a good time to adopt one. We arrived to a small group Bible study a little early so while we waited for the others to arrive, a friend took us next door to her neighbor's house where her dog just had puppies. It was love at first sight and we just knew that one of these little bundles of fur would be going home with us in the future. After visiting the puppies several times and observing their behaviors, my husband John picked up a little puppy and plopped her on my lap and asked, "What about THIS one?" She was so sweet, licking my hand, and eventually sleeping in my lap. That puppy was Shiley. She's been a part of our family ever since and we love her so much.
Bio:
Shiley was born in Georgia and has moved and traveled with her parents across the country. Her biological parents were named Bernard and Angel.

Well, it's almost that time of year where there's a nip in the air and leaves start falling down. I love fall! It's still pretty hot here but I can't wait until it gets a tad cooler. My Grammy just visited me and Chloe. It was a nice visit. She brought us treats. I'm starting a "senior diet" now and I really like it. I still move like a puppy though. Bark at ya'll later. Happy fall!

Oh wow - it's summer already! These days I enjoy going outside and playing with the hose. I still love rolling in the grass and laying in front of the fans. I keep well hydrated and hope to go swimming soon. Keep cool, ya'all, and enjoy the summer!

The birds are chirping outside and I stop and listen. I notice all the plants coming up in the yard. The weather is getting warm and the grass is getting greener. Spring is a fun time of year. I just have to roll in the grass and celebrate! Anyone want to join me?
