Arrival Story:
One of the mom's on my little brother's hockey team had her but they didn't have the time to take care of her properly. We were looking for a dog and she asked us if we wanted her because she knew we would be a better home for her. It didn't take her long to adjust to me, but the rest of my family a little longer.

Bio:
We only had her for a year, from April 25th 2003 to March 17th 2004. We unfortunately had to give her back to her breeder because she was highly aggressive towards other animals, due to lack of socialization as a pup, although she LOVED people (especially kids). She was 4 when we got her and she was my first dog. She became VERY attached to me, too much so, and that created separation anxiety, so she destroyed everything. She was way too much for us to handle outside of the house because of her aggression so we couldn't take her anywhere and plus the insurance company came out with a dangerous dog list in early 2004 which included german shepherd dogs :S. Basically our only choice was to give her back, although it was a very difficult thing for me because I had a special bond with her, because she was my first dog. I was very apprehensive about putting her on dogster, because I feel ashamed that I couldn't do more to insure that she stays with us, but it was really beyond our control. She was an awesome dog, very intelligent, obedient and VERY loyal. I loved her to pieces and it still hurts today when I think about having to give her up, but it was best for her. No dog will ever replace the spot she occupies in my heart. I now have Ransom and he is a wonderful dog but he can never replace her. I love you Thunder baby and I hope you're safe and well! I made her a photo album: http://ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/e ternalhowl/my_photos (you have to make sure there are no spaces in the link when you copy it into the browser, because it's not all on one line it tends to put a space where it breaks off) *UPDATE* (May 9th 2005) It's Thunder's 6th birthday and I found her! She was dropped at the german shepherd rescue of Toronto and was just adopted by her foster mom! Yay Thunder baby, or should I say Sadie, since that is her new name.
