I graduated!

Me & Remy graduated from obedience school last night. We even got graduation certificates.

Remy & Mama did better than me & Nanny did on the rally trial, but we still did pretty good. We scored an 85 out of 100. Me & Nanny didn't return to a normal pace after doing a fast pace & we didn't walk on a loose leash most of the time. But we were both so nervous that we were surprised we did that good. At least, we weren't the lowest score in the class BOL.

Nanny said she enjoyed going to the class with us. She wants to take me to the advanced class if they decide to have one (the club has to have enough people interested in one before they can). I can't wait. I'm gonna miss going to school. I loved meeting all of those new doggies & their people. And that's the only place that I ever bark. I barked a lot during class wanting everyone's attention (mainly Mama's & Remy's attention). But at home, I'm not a barker at all.

BTW, did I mention that Remy is feeling a little better after our accident. I'm so glad. I was worried about him when I saw how bad it looked. But he looks much better, now, though he's still not eating dry food, yet. And Daddy talked to my Poppy today. He didn't know that Remy was hurt, but he was upset about it when he found out. But he said that Remy will be completely fine soon & won't even know he was hurt. I hope so.

I'm a BIG girl, now!

Today was my birthday & I turned 1! Yippee!

I got 4 new toys: a blue stuffed lobster, an orange stuffed elephant, a steak that squeaks, & a little blue squeaky toy. Hunter was a little jealous cause I got more toys than he did on his birthday. I told him it was cause his birthday toy was big (& it costed as much as all of mine) & mine are little. Anyways, I'm a good girl, so I'm letting him play with some of my toys.

We went to obedience class tonight, too. Nanny & Mama said that I did really well. I think I did, too. On the way home Mama got me some chicken nuggets from MacDonald's. Yummy, they were so delicious. I think they were my special birthday treat. I'm not supposed to tell Daddy. He says doggies don't need a lot of people food. He's not supposed to know it, but Mama sneaks us a bite of people food every now & then. I think he might have figured it out, though, cause one day he said that we needed something different than dog food every so often. He's a sweet daddy, isn't he?

I had a fun day!

First, I went to visit Daddy at work. Emma was supposed to go see him today, but I ended up going instead. There were some other dogs there when I went in, so I barked at them a couple of times just to tell them "hi". They didn't tell me "hi" back; they just stared at me. Then, Daddy played with me for a while & loved me. After that I came home to play with Emma some more.

Then, I went with Remy tonight for Obedience Class. Remy told me last week how much fun he had so I wanted to go this week. Nanny did me while Mama did Remy. And Rem was right I had fun, too, & I met a lot of other doggies. I can't wait to go next week.

I got a new sister yesterday!

She's wonderful; her name's Emma & she's 16 mos old. She's my new best friend.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

It was Grandma's birthday today. She turned 81. Mama & Nanny took her out to eat last night at her favorite restaurant. None of us doggies got to go, though: ( Oh, well.
Me and Mama cooked her birthday cake today (Mama really cooked it; I mainly walked around & played with my toys). We made her a yellow cake (from scratch) w/ white chocolate icing & fresh sliced strawberries as a filling. It looked sooooo yummy, but Mama wouldn't let me have any of it : (
But I had a good time with Mama b/c it was just me & her; the boys were outside.
Hunter's birthday is next (Sept 11); I wonder what kind of cake we're going to make him.

Family Everywhere

Yesterday for the fourth of July we had a family reunion. Just about everyone came. I met cousins, uncles, & aunts that I had never met because they live in other states. I even met a little doggie cousin. The big boys had to stay in the backyard all day & Phil had to stay in the house, but Mama let me come out & run around in the yard just about all day long. Everyone loved me & I got a lot of compliments. They cooked all kinds of good food: Fried fish, fried chicken, pasta sald, baked beans, potato salad, baked cheese grits, flag cake, strawberry trifle, etc. I wanted to sneak some it so bad, but I didn't. Mama did give me a few slices of cucumber & bell pepper for being such a good girl. Then, when it got dark, we shot fireworks down by the pond. They were loud & I didn't like them at all. I was so glad when they were through with them. It was a fun day, but I was tired & ready for the bed last night.

Plus, many, many cats, a rabbit named Odelle, 6 guineas, 1 goose named Liza, 4 ducks, 3 chickens, & 3 goldfish. Plus my Poppy has Mama's horse named Dolly. We had a ferret named Jake Plummer, but he died of old age 2 months ago. Great Grandaddy always called him our mongoose.
