Arrival Story: After Dakota passed away we thought it would be a very long time before we would adopt another dog - but we saw Quinn in October at the PetsMart adoption center. She looked like Dakota a little bit, and her one blue and one brown eye was just adorable! So, we brought her home. What's one more?

Bio: The dog is crazy! haha. She 'talks' constantly - and if you tell her 'no' she will bark right back, like she is telling you what she thinks of being told anything. I have also never had a dog that kept themself occupied like she does - give her a toy, beanie baby, or rock - and she can play with it by herself for hours! She's hysterical. She likes to sleep in the bed with us, but 15 minutes in she is so hot (guess it's the husky in her) she is laying with her head off the side panting so hard you think she is going to hyperventilate. But she will not get down - we have to put her down and then she is fine. She loves her canine cooler bed - she will lay on it for hours.
She is also having problems walking! We have no carpet in the house (years of experience with dogs, we finally decided hardwood and vinyl was the way to go) so she has learned to walk basically on slick floors. She just scoots her front feet around, which of course causes her to fall on her face if she encounters any obstacles on the floor! When she does fall she just rolls over and lays down for a bit - like "I meant to fall down here, I was just going to take a rest". Her nickname is 'Scooter Poot'.
Recently we went through a TPLO on her back leg - my nerves are completely shots - but a recent follow up shows she is right on schedule and doing fine! (fingers and paws crossed.)
