Favorite Food: Beef & rice Favorite Walk: To the old tennis court where he can run around off his leash (no one uses them and its all fenced in!) Best Tricks: Alerts us when the bear is in the neighborhood. Somehow Josey knows, even when he's asleep in the house he wakes up & barks. Arrival Story: We adopted Josey from the same collie rescue as Lily. In November 2007 we unexpectedly lost our dog Callahan to cancer. We were devastated and so was Lily. It was heartbreaking to see her so depressed. Her tail was always down and she was always looking out the window as if expecting Cal to come home. Initially we planned on waiting to adopt another dog, but after a few months of her depression, it became obvious that she needed another friend.
We met Josey and he was just a big goofy love. Immediately we knew he was just what we all needed. When we brought him home to meet Lily, it was like reuniting 2 old friends. They sniffed each other briefly and then started running around the yard together and playing. Bio: Josey only barks when he means it. No frivolous barking for him. Mom is really mad at me tonight. When she let us out tonight there was a bunny in the yard and mom didn't realize it until it was too late.
I chased the bunny into her garden and something bad happened to it..... Mom was super upset with me. I've never seen her so mad and upset. Then she had to go back outside and dispose of the bunny and she got even more upset.
I'm pretty sure I'm on Santa's naughty list now :(
I got sick in the house early this morning. Mum & dad were still sleeping and my tummy was upset. I've never ever ever made an accident in the house! How embarassing!!!
Mum has been really nice to me though. She said it was ok and she's gonna make me some boiled hamburger & rice to eat until my tummy settles down.
My ear seems to be getting better now. I guess that's good news. Ah jeez, I don't like being sick :( but I don't like having accidents in the house even more! I'm feeling a little better but I'm kind of tired.
