This morning Pippin and I greet Pippin's mom when she comes home from work and then I am left to play until 9 a.m. Auntie mom goes out to the garage without me, but she stops up by the front door and Grandma mom takes me out to the car. They are beginning not to trust me to go out to the car on my own anymore. We go over to pick up Pippin and his mom and then we head towards Chanute. I am actually napping in the car seat when I feel that we have stopped. I jump up on the back of Auntie mom's driver's seat and immediately say, "UGGG!" Not exactly like that, but I do whine. We are back at the vet's office. To my surprise, I stay in the car with Pippin and and his mom and Auntie mom goes in with the empty carrier to pick up the kitty kat we took yesterday to be spayed. Auntie mom has named her Tiger Lily. Tiger because she is striped and Lily because she is just pretty. Pippin and I share a chicken strip sandwich at Sonic and then we go down a few alleys so we can bark at the dogs we see. Pippin's mom tells Auntie mom that I should get use to wearing a collar, so Pippin's mom puts the collar on me and I have a fit. Everyone ignores me and no one takes it off until a few hours later when I am still acting quiet and subdued. I go home with Auntie mom and go right to bed. I sleep under Grandma mom's desk until she coaxes me out on the big bed with her and there I fall asleep again. Grandma mom begins to think I am sick when I am still sleeping over an hour later. I didn't get that tired on the ride to and from the vet's office. So the collar comes off and I come alive again. I spend the rest of the afternoon playing outdoors. I go with Auntie mom to go over to pick up Pippin at 3:45 p.m. and we get milk bones at the bank. I get to bark at a couple of dogs including friend, Quincy, who is almost swallowed by the many leaves in his yard, (he is a dachshund) a few squirrels, and some chickens in the park. I get in trouble later, when it is dark and we go back out to feed the stray cats. As soon as the front door is opened, I take off after Miley, one of the outdoor cats. I think my family become more afraid at this time because it is dark and they are afraid that I will be lost. A good time to start wearing a collar and an ID (I admit). But Auntie mom starts the car and honks the horn and I come running back to jump in the car. Auntie mom tells me that I won't be able to go with her anymore if I continue to run around in the front yard. Sheesh!!
