This morning Auntie mom takes me and we go over to pick up Pippin and his mom. I nap in the car seat while Pippin sits on his mom's lap and all is fine until Pippin starts breathing harder and whimpering. I get up and look around trying to determine why Pippin is crying. As soon as we drive into the vet's parking lot, I see the reason. And I start barking at the vet's office. I have been here before and I don't like it. Pippin's mom puts on my harness and Auntie mom leads me inside. Right away I see a big black Lab and I don't even stop to bark at her. Auntie mom goes to sit down and I stand up to her legs, begging her to take me. Auntie mom leans down and picks me up and I start trembling. We are called back into the exam room and Auntie mom has a hard time getting me to sit on the exam table. The vet's assistant pries open my mouth and looks inside. A huge accomplishment since I don't make it easy for her. I am rated "looking good", and I hurry and climb back in Auntie mom's arms. Then the assistant says, "Let's look at those other stitches", so Auntie mom puts me back down on the exam table and my stitches on my leg are looked over. I hurry and climb back in Auntie mom's arms and this time she flips me over so my back is on her chest and that assistant spreads open my back legs (I felt so violated!!) and says, "Beautiful". I have to go back to the vet next Wednesday to get all of the stitches out. I will almost definitely give them a hard time. The rest of the day passed normally. It was sunny and semi warm out, so I spent a lot of the afternoon outdoors. Auntie mom took me for a couple of car rides and Pippin and I got to bark at Lady Bug again. It is a good thing I sleep so well at night!
