This is what my family tells me when we go for car rides. I bark at almost everything I see and when I bark, it is LOUD! I also tend to have barking fits, where I bark and bark, and jump around the car like a jumping bean. This morning Auntie mom takes me over to pick up Pippin and his mom and we begin our car ride by going down the road to see the goats. Auntie mom raises her window down and I start barking. All of those goats start running! Auntie mom says I could be a goat herder! We go down to the park and there are so many squirrels that Pippin and I are barking non stop. I jump around the car so much that Auntie mom starts warning me about my stitches, especially the stitches in my leg. I do tend to bounce up to the front, use Auntie mom's shoulder to turn around and then hop in the back. Sometimes I hit my head on the back window because I get so excited. We also saw so many dogs today, and I also barked at the fake deer and then barked so much at this country horse that he high tailed it back to his barn cover. I bark so much and so loud that I start crying and whining. I still take that pain pill every morning though, so that helps with the pain. I think I am going to end up with a sore throat like Auntie mom though!

My Pal, Kaine, says that we often bark out of FEAR. Something is new and different and it definitely is on our Dangerous List!
Oh, I had one HUGE Dangerous List when I was YOUR age! Seemed like EVERYTHING was potentially DANGEROUS!
Mommy slowly took me over to the plastic bag, the rolled up newspaper, the branch with leaves, the big rock, the tree stump, the man with the funny hat and showed me they were OK.
That helped A LOT!
Just TELLING ME not to worry about all those things never worked, and would KEEP barking.
I still bark at times, but I have now eliminated a bunch of things from my Dangerous List. Maybe this would help you, too!
Love,
Saphira
