Birthday: April 21st 2009 Arrival Story: Schroeder has been with our group since birth and he is really a wonderful little dog. Schroeder is slated to attend his first adoption event and we know he’ll be a hit. He loves kids and provides them with plenty of kisses and tail wags. When around other dogs Schroeder can be a little timid if they are aggressive but he has made fast friends with all of the foster dogs he’s met. As the first of 11 puppies Schroeder has proven to be the one that was picked on by all of his siblings – that might account for his timidity but he joins right in with dogs that are playful vs. overbearing. Cats would be questionable only because we don't really have a history to go by. Bio: Schroeder loves toys and can spend all day playing with them. He's not too small, not too big, but just right! He's got a gorgeous fawn colored coat, brown eyes and plenty of wrinkles! Schroeder would be a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a true friend. He is used to using the doggie door and circles to signal that he has to go out for potty breaks. Schroeder is not a barker but does tend to be wiggly when you want to hold him for a long time (although on his own he’ll hop into my lap and snooze). We think that some basic obedience training and bonding will go a long way toward helping Schroeder overcome his timid streak. By the way, he is quite the little chow hound so whomever adopts him will need to make sure he isn’t overfed. Up to date on shots, neutered and ready for his furr-ever home, Schroeder is waiting for someone who is looking for a well rounded buddy to walk/play and maybe even hike with – he loves the outdoors and is definitely worth a second look.
